Interesting. I would think that the person doesn't ordinarily write like that since the person was trying to copy a child's handwriting. The person may have used block style handwriting but may actually have flowery handwriting. I still don't understand the motive for going after the office that houses the National Enquirer. That alone makes me think that it isn't domestic.

No problem with school kids getting the returned letter. The school does not exist.

Since the return address is the 4th Grade, maybe hes trying to make the receiver think thats the handwriting of a 10 or 11 year old. How would he know how a 10 or 11 year old would make block letters, unless he has a kid or knows one who is writing like that now? I wonder how kids are taught to make their handwritten 1s in New Jersey schools?

Thanks for pointing that out to me a month after I made my reply. We ALL know the facts now as they have been published for a month.

and WHY is that hand not wearing a GLOVE? The hand is not wearing a glove because it is holding a photograph of the letter, not the letter itself.

"and WHY is that hand not wearing a GLOVE?"
The same reason we aren't, as we look at the picture of the envelope.

Atta learned to write his numerals. And to use the mmddyy format.
I can't remember if any of the envelopes and letters shown to the public contain 7's. I think probably not. I would look for a slashed 7.
As to tailed 1's, when I am printing I sometimes do that myself habitually to distinguish them from lower case l's. I think also people with drafting/engineering training do likewise.

As Senate Majority Leader, and current political head of the Democratic Party, he, and he alone, could put the brakes on any initiaives by President Bush against Al-Qaeda, or others... And targeting him in a predictably ineffective way would make him much less likely to oppose any such initiatives. If, as I suppose, the Islamofascists are behind these anthrax attacks, they were supposed to help provoke a massive U.S. military response, just as I think Sept. 11th was.

I see that even the return address on the Leahy letter envelope, even though it's the same as that on the Daschle letter envelope, was separately written. Look at the final line, that with Franklin Park and the zip code. On the Leahy letter, it slopes much more downwards.
Of course, the address to the senator had to be separately written, because Leahy and Daschle have different addresses. It will be interesting to see whether the letters are identical (as the Brokaw and NY Post letters are), so that they are presumably the result of mechanical copying with a xerox machine or the like.

We all have had bad postings some times. Last week, I forgot where Iraq was. I corrected my mistake in the next post but the damage was done.
To: Fred25
I'm more concerned that the kid doesn't like G rated movies than his hyphens. I also hope that his lucky numbers are his birthday rather than his weekly pick.
