I will go over and mosey around amongst your musings, but to tell you the truth, I'm waiting for an autographed copy. :-) (Not a free copy, mind you - an autographed one.)

It doesn't sound like time allows a visit. If You need anything just get a hold of me, I-80 is only 30 miles from me at Iowa City and Chicago is about 5 hours away.
Have a safe trip.
Peace

It must be weird though that the world has scooped him and already started a real WWIII. If it hadn't been for Jeff's patriotic and self sacrifice in the service of liberty at Klamath, the book would have been announced at least a month earlier. The prophetic aspect of "Breath of Fire" would then have been even more unsettling. Much success to you, Jeff as I know how many hours and how much of yourself you've invested in the book.

You'll get it, my FRiend. I was glad to see Joanie's reference to "optimism" as Dukie was kind enough to send me an exerpt and it appeared--while excellently written--somewhat gloomy and pessimistic.Good Tuesday Morn, MUD. I suppose it is the nature of America to forget the lessons of the past and to be open to the "sucker punch" as we most recently saw on Sept 11. What also marks us, and I know that Jeff sees as a fundamental part of our Nation, is its spiritual bedrock from which will flow the power and resolve to ultimately triumph over all adversaries.
On another note, the 'Skins were really disappointing last evenng.

Just put a note to that effect in with the order, and I'll do it.
I don't think it adds a thing to the novel, but I'll be more than happy to accomodate as long as I possibly can.
I'm hoping to have my ISBN's back tomorrow so I can officially register this for the printed version. I'll have it available on my site and also be shipping a few to Amazon and Barnes and Nobels online (hopefully) and then replensihing their stock as required.
I'll be saving most for my site to begin with because that's where the higher margin is ... at least until a healthy volume picks up in those other places (old free market, captialist me).
Regards. Will be interested in your take.

You have FReemail. I was thinking more along the lines of a snack, soft drink, short hello around Iowa City or something.
I'll call as we get closer to those dates.
To: Dukie
Thanks Chris.
... of course without your help, Joanie's, harpseal's, Travis McGee's and others, I couldn't have gotten it done in any case.
Hope it goes well and that folks have an enjoyable, engrossing and thought provoking read that they then tell others about.

...we'll see as time goes on.You
sell your book man. You
set out on this adventure to make money off of your efforts and I'm going to chew your butt out if you give it away.
You were nice to give a sample, but you make your money! You have earned it and deserve it.
To: Jeff Head
Congradulations...I hope it is a best seller!

There's a Country Kitchen less than 1/4 mile off of I-80 at the second exit for Iowa City. I'll get the name/number, I use them and don't pay attention.
I'd consider it an honor to buy for all of You. If You have anything else in mind, I'm pretty versatile.

Sorry it took so long to respond. I had moved on to the second thread and never saw your post.
I hope you get a chance to get one of the books and that you find it interesting, enjoyable and thought provoking. They are being printed now (though since it is self funded the quantities are low) and here's a couple of pics.
I'll BUMP you to a thread where I got my first "official" review.
Regards.

Bump for Jeff

Thanks ... I just mailed the first shipment of printed books to customers this week.
Hope lots more follow.
Am looking very forward to completing the other four novels in the series.
