That is the second reference to Iowa Chops I've seen you post in recent days. (I was on the original committee that developed the Iowa Chop concept OH, SO MANY years ago). I will get some extra thick ones ordered from the supplier, and have pockets sliced in them. Stuffed Iowa Chops,,w/Apple and Sage Dressing will be served at 7:00 pm CDT tonite.

Although she is a bit long in the tooth, here is a picture of a great C&W singer. Even though she is aging, her voice is still wonderful and she remains true to the country sound. And she is giving a bluegrass benefit at the Opry for the victims of 9/11/01.

Thanks for the pecan pies. I wish we could send homemade cookies etc. to our troops. I can understand why we can't but it would be fun, especially at Christmas time .

ClancyJ, thank you so much for letter in your post. I am printing out each thread of the Canteen and making copies then sending about 20 copies in the boxes hubby and I are sending to the troops. So this is great.Thank you.

I will see if I can get Mr. Mama_Bear to take some pictures of Jim and the gang counter protesting the "peaceniks" in Fresno tonight. I will post a couple later this evening. I've had many people tell me to be careful up there, but these are peace-loving pacifists, after all. What's to be concerned about? Like I told "Louie", I am anticipating nothing but love vibes coming from their side of street. < /sarcasm> LOL! :-)
