Bill O'Reilly has learned the populist stance has put him on top. He will play this hand for all it is worth and if that means fawning over McCain and Edwards, he'll fawn. Too bad, he could have had a high rated show and retained his credibility but chose populism. I can't watch his act anymore.
Edwards touring New Hampshire, Feb.1-2002. C-span reminds us all:
New Hampshire will be hosting the first-in-the nation presidential primary in January 2004. Check link for TV coverage this weekend.
This morning Sen. John Edwards hosted the National Prayer Breakfast. He hosts it every week in the Senate. Anyone who sells victimhood, weakens another's soul and acts against the Word. The problem with the Senate is not simply Tom Daschle. If he can't get at the White House, the Devil has, unfortunately, many greedy, ambitious and prideful folks willing to help divide and weaken our nation in the name of "justice." John Edwards, there are people praying for you. Are you listening?

I apologize for my sharp tongue on the John Edwards threads.
(HE does change hearts and minds *g*).
If our misled press can mislead our fellow Americans about John Kerry's war record while our Soldiers are risking their lives against terrorists in Iraq - after 911- our press will most likely be willing to do anything to win, and with our fellow Americans asleep at the wheel. We need to help spread the word, and pray.
I so hoped Edwards wouldn't get this nomination.
John Edwards divides - exploiting our human differences in front of national, local - international audiences - rich v. poor, men v. women, old v. young, employee v. employer - pitting group against group - when we need most to unite in strength against a common enemy, and for our mutual defense and freedom. He exploits our human weaknesses - inciting hatred, envy, fear - in pursuit of power, "on behalf of" the powerless - and is welcomed on America's University campuses, and TV news shows, in Old Europe, and on Hillary's short list of kindred pols.
Could America survive a Kerry/Edwards ticket?
We know who the enemy hopes won't win.
More detailed info, earlier thread (most links to the NC Insider are no longer active, but should be archived at the news source or local libraries):
"I think we have to get back to what worked in the 90's, you know. We know what works. What happened in the 80's and what's happening now doesn't work. You know we've learned these lessons. I think it's balanced budgets; it's fiscal discipline. I opposed the tax cut that the president got passed through the Congress in a highly partisan vote. I thought it was irresponsible. To me I go back [inaud.] commonsense. The notion that we were going to be able to predict what was going to happen not only this year or the following year but ten years from now is just comical. I mean it was ridiculous for us to be thinking like that.." -Remarks at House Party Chris & Kristin Sullivan's Home -Concord, NH, Feb. 2002.

Well .. there's no reason to flame. He is good looking .. in a sort of slick kind of way.
However, he's very shallow as a person.
I believe people will be stunned when Cheney blows him away in their debate.
