Now, I figure he is just ANOTHER REPUBLICAN.

As I, and many others, have said from DAY ONE...

Steele is not just another Republican. He is an f'ing POS RINO.

The “Rush is an entertainer” crap comes from the Left.

It comes from Rush.

Weak, Mr. Steele, very weak. Steele should just go on Rush's show ASAP and apologize for three words: "incendiary", "ugly", and "entertainer".

Rush is much more than an "entertainer". He is a Guardian of Conservative Principles, who just happens to be entertaining. But his CPAC speech was anything but ugly. At CPAC, Rush even praised Obambi's rhetorical skills, noting what a shame it is that they're wasted on his socialistic class-warfare fearmongering.

Steele said a stupid thing but he shouldn't be forced out at this time. The timing is wrong and even RINOs have reasons to focus on exposing the Neosocialist Obamanation.

Deuce,
Your strategy, if you can call it that, is suicide.

If you do not have the numbers, mathmatically, to control the Republican Party, how in the heck will you ever run the country?

"I combine two elements: irreverent humor and serious discussion of issues. People tune in for both. But the key is having credibility. This has led to critics saying I am just an entertainer. I'm proud to be an entertainer. This is showbiz. At the same time, I believe everything I say."- Rush

I have listened to Rush for quite some time and he has said that he is an entertainer more than a few times. If that is what is being used to marginalize him, it surely hasn't worked very well. I have serious doubts that Rush will even mention this and very likely still thinks a great deal of Steele. This was not a big deal to me nor do I think it will be to Rush.

"Michael, Michael, Michael. Here I thought he was going to be good."

Manwere you fooled. He was a RINO when Lt. Gov. of Maryland and he's a RINO now.

Not sure he was referring to the speech. Trying to be too nice though. He needs to light a fire under the party, not soothe with hugs and kisses.

Rush always says he is a “harmless little fuzzball”. He entertains because he keeps his commentary fresh and he has a finger on the pulse. If he didn't entertain, he would have the ratings of Air America. He informs in an entertaining manner. That is not the same thing as is being implied.

If he was just an entertainer, the POTUS and his minions wouldn't be trying to tie Rush to Republican Politicians using out of text comments made on the Rush Limbaugh Show. The way the “Rush is an entertainer” remark is used by the left is meant to be derogatory, nothing else.

I sent a message to the RNC - My wife and I have contributed cash for decades. That stops now. I will not support RINO’s. I will only contribute directly to candidates that are 100% conservative...no more cash for the RNC and Steele to dole out as they please.

How do we get in touch with Steele and let him know how things are?

Contact the RNC is about all I can suggest.
Maybe a post card campaign telling him it’s our way or the highway.

Mr Steele must go. He doesn’t get it—I bet he’s a RINO of the first order.

“Are you advocating a third party, or making the GOP a truly conservative party?”

I would like to have the GOP move to become a party of conservatives. However, after recent speeches I have heard from Michael Steele and Eric Cantor, coupled with the knowledge that Republicans are equally corrupt and on the take (passing bills to buy votes and gain money from interest groups) I fear that the Republican Party is too rotted. Neither the Republicans or Democrats represent the citizenry.

Talk show vs politician. Sounds interesting. :)

Never get into a fight with someone who dishes out speech by the megawatt.

Do you think he offended Rush? I'm the most informed of individuals on this thread but I'm missing it...
Paraphrase me an actual quote if you could.

"You, and the GOP will continue to lose elections as a result.

You have at least that much correct. I wanted Hunter for the nominee and got McCain so I am definitely on a losing streak. I did not want Steele, but I got him. I am Conservative, he is a moderate. My bone of contention is the knee-jerk reactions.

If it is not issue or ideology oriented I have no real concerns. Rush can say what he wants about someone, or the opposite, and if it does not concern my ideology or an issue I hold dear it becomes a non-entity for me. I did not see what Steel said as that big of a deal and have a hard time believing it would be something that Rush would find contentious. That was, and is, my main point.

Eric Cantor was completely trashed on FR today. You will find no better Conservative than he. He is solid on all the issues, yet he was trashed because some on here thought he offended Limbaugh.

I look at how they live and how they vote and pay very little attention to what they say. I think the people on FR are saying they want a fireball like Palin and I am simply pointing out that there are different ways of doing things. Yes, she is a fireball, but she is also for Shamnesty and has done nothing about the sanctuary cities in her state. I suppose it boils down to wanting more than just words, and making action the prime mover. Remember, Obama did not get elected by praising Stalin and proclaiming what a wonderful Socialist he would be. In other words, the rhetoric means little and it is the actions that are our realities.

"They should be forced to turn in their credentials and you should do all in your power to see they leave the GOP."

What a quaint idea (not)! Let's see now... Al Franken will likely get seated in the Senate so he makes 59. So, we want to give the Democrats 3 more votes making 62 meaning 3 Democrats would have to be culled to even think about a filibuster and Obama pretty much does anything he damn well pleases and literally no one can stop him.

Brilliant. More great ideas to reinvigorate the GOP.
