That's wonderful JustAmy, thank you for sharing it with the FReeper Foxhole.
SAM and I just spent a couple wonderful days in San Diego at the invitation of the USS Tarawa OA crew and reported on it here at the Foxhole on the 5th. Hope you got to see it.
Our troops are a wonderful bunch of fine young men and women and they truly are appreciate of the support they recieve.
Isn't it wonderful to know that they are hearing about the support America is giving them!
Thanks for posting it for everyone to see.

I missed the FoxHole on the 5th ...... I will go back and read it.
I love it when we are informed that the military are aware of the support they are receiving across this great nation. You may enjoy seeing these pictures taken by jkphoto at our picnic last week-end ........

I love it when we are informed that the military are aware of the support they are receiving across this great nation. We do to.
That's great news about the flag. Go FR!

Thanks for sharing that card with us Just Amy. It sure makes us feel good when we hear from our military personnel.
As Snippy said, we had the pleasure of meeting some of the USS TAWARA crew and it was a wonderful experience to be able to thank them for what they are sacrificing for us.
We concentrate so much on showing our support for them that we sometimes forget that it works both ways. It felt strange for them to thank us because we feel we're doing nothing special. We found out they feel pretty much the same way, they all say they're not doing anything special, they're just doing their jobs. They don't realize how special they really are to us.
Nice to see that the military know about and appreciates the people here at FR.

"Hey, is that the same place you had the last picnic?"
Our picnic Saturday was at Woodward Park again but we had a different shelter location this year. We had a wonderful time just wish that more FReepers could have joined us. We had 35 to 40 people this year. Fewer than we had last year but the company was great and the tri-tip was wonderful.

Good Evening Victoria. Good song.

Good evening FRiends, it has been one busy weekend. We had our American Legion Ladies Aux fund raiser. Collected about $150.00. Millington's fall festival thing is called "goat days" as it is centered around goats. Goat races, goat BBQ, goat judging, along with other stuff farm related. We set up our booth Friday night. And took it down Sunday about 2 pm. We offered hand crafted items for sale and raffled off a 48" x 48" quilt I made. I'm wore out still.

Did you get a picture of your quilt before you auctioned it off? I would have liked to have seen it.

What do you do BBQ the losers of the Goat race?
I used to work the Veterans booth at events like this, lots of fun but it wears you out.

So what do you guys think about the recall's delay?I think the federal judges should stay out of the people's business. The citizens of CA did what they were required to do for the recall and now a panel of judges want to halt it? Not good.
