"good natured fellowship" EXACTLY and SO well put!

Great news on your Chris' liberty... those kids sure deserve it. My Chris is due stateside anytime now, then back for the rest of his tour of duty. He's doing very well with only a few stitches and a few heat issues (at least that's all he's told me about) He's now the SAW gunner when dismounted...and still the loader when mounted in his tank. These kids are very versitle... My best to you and your family my FRiend.

I had an older version. I've got your current one now.

Kindly keep me updated on any changes, and I'll add it along with my others.

Hello Everyone,

As promised, here is the book trailer for the awe-inspiring story of Nick Popaditch, the 15-year Marine trigger-puller tank commander who won the Silver Star.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPDpg7FC0sI

This is the low-resolution version. The high resolution version will be streamed on http://www.onceamarine, http://www.savasbeatie.com, and many other websites.

Feel free to send every media person you know to this link, and use it any way you good people see fit. I know Nick and April appreciate all you do for them. And God knows, they deserve success and happiness after all they have sacrificed.

As you know, his tanks surrounded Firdos “Saddam” Square in April 2003 and pulled down the hated statue. An AP photo put Nick on the front pages of newspapers around the world as “The Cigar Marine.” Nick was critically wounded in Fallujah one year later by an RPG to the head. This is Nick's harrowing story of combat, courage, and recovery.

(Oct. 1, 2008, 312 pages, 37 color photos, hardcover. $25.00. Savas Beatie LLC. www.savasbeatie.com).

See http://www.onceamarine.com for a signed / inscribed copy, and check his schedule to meet him at one of his nationwide talks/signings. We are already half way sold through the first edition and the book does not come out for three weeks. If you want a signed copy reserve it soon.

Would you like Nick to talk to your group? See below.

Militarybooks: Thanks so much for the post and links.

archy, Brad’s Gramma and MOsby...heads up to an update post.

I am out of town and don’t have my ping list on this computer so if you good folks would do the pleasure it would be appreciated.

Personal note: My tanker son (Chris) is here from Iraq for R&R (Or whatever it’s called these days). It’s been fantastic seeing him. He goes back over in a few days. We are spending as much time as possible together. If I don’t reply right away please forgive, I am offline more than on.

April and Nick: Thanks for everything. Prayers up for you and your family.

Posts 149 and 150 should have been addressed to you as well.

P.S. I considered making an attempt to connect my tanker son, Chris, up with you while you were both around but I see from your events schedule you are probably traveling...some other time.

Please spread the word about the trailer, share it with friends, and do all you can with media.

best regards,
