afternoon. We are having a glorious day. On the way to church it was 73 and mostly clear skies. On the way out of church it is 85 and clear skies.
We are here. PE as been working too much. I have been holding the fort.
I thought that must be the case. How are the kids??
What is the little charmer Bittygirl's latest caper, PE has not informed me. Too, busy! ;)
She is trying to drink from a regular cup these days. She is somewhat successful.
"dadoo" has transformed to "dankoo."
She went to a birthday party yesterday and had a blast! We are going to another party today (different family, same people invited yesterday as today, interestingly). I don't think Bittygirl is going to make it though. She is still asleep, and I am leaving with karateboy in about 5 minutes.
When I woke up this morning, she was sleeping sideways in our bed. When I got out of the shower she was alseep on the floor. When PE got up this morning for church (I have to leave early for choir), she was awake and playing in her room clothed in a diaper and her favorite black patent leather "doos" (shoes).
BTW, in case you are interested, I started a homeschool blog last week. I have not updated it in a couple of days, but it is recent. I also have a genealogy blog that I started at the same time. It has some of the same information in it. Most of what I intend to put in there y'all already hear about here in the Foxhole.
So, if you are interested...

We're off to go to a birthday party. Happy Lazy Sunday!

Oh my gosh, hilarious. I had a kid just like that. LOL
A short silly poem I wrote this afternoon.

Yesterday, I got to go shopping alone, wonder of wonders! So, while I was out, I took the opportunity to get Bittygirl's Easter outfit (w/ some new white "doos") plus a couple of other dresses and a set of playclothes. She has just about grown out of EVERYTHING in the past month.
So... I got home from the party with Spiderboy, and turns out she found all her new clothes and had already tried on everything, LOL!
*chuckle* I know what you mean!
She did not specifically say, but it was rather obvious that she really likes her new clothes.
She is a real lady I am thinking. ;)
Hope all of you east of Kansas City are okay following Yeaterdays heavy weather.

Death Cannot Divide Us
Read:
|
Although writers and philosophers have done their best to marshal weighty arguments in favor of life after death, they have not succeeded in bringing comfort to aching, anxious, questioning hearts.
Jesus, however, does not fail to satisfy us. He brings forth no philosophical arguments. He does not try to prove the reasonableness of immortality; He simply declares it! He speaks of what He knows, and answers with the authority of heaven: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live" (John 11:25). This resurrection has two aspects. The bodies of believers will be raised, and their spirits will also live on in heaven.
What does this mean for grieving Christians whose believing loved ones have died? Death does not sever our love for them, for love belongs to the spirit and not to the body. And when those we love go on a long journey, their thoughts can span the distance as though it were a step, and their love enfolds us as though they stood beside us. So it is today with our dear departed ones.
Are you sorrowing over one who has been called to heaven? Jesus promises that we will be reunited one day, when God gives us back our precious loved ones. M. R. De Haan, M.D.
Christ has replaced the dark door of death with the shining gate of life.
I got my dad's WWII medals in today from Congressman John Tanner's office.
