I am quite a fan of Forrest.
That's hugh!

for example this bit of info from the NWS...
significant tornado outbreak occurred over portions of eastern Kansas and western Missouri on March 12, 2006. In addition to the fourteen tornado touchdowns detailed below, 201 reports of large hail and/or damaging winds were also received from virtually every county in the Pleasant Hill service area. To put the March 12 outbreak into perspective, an average severe weather season in our local area brings approximately 11 tornadoes, and around 400 reports of hail and/or wind to the local region.
For the full report with a nifty graphic you can go here... (Tornadeee Graphic)
You all have a great day

Howdy ma'am
Hi miss Feather
The word for the day is:
beas
As in black beas, kidney beas, lima beas(dad hates 'em, BG loves 'em)
BG also has learned to point a can of beas at the can opener to signal her desire to chow down on them.
It would appear ya'll are tryin' tuh join Texas as paid up, in good standin', members of tonrado alley.
LOL Good for BG, good source of protein.
She learns quickly how to get things done regarding her hunger pangs. ;)
I trhink I would rather be a member in "bad" standing, thank you very much :-)

Brain Games
Read:
|
A saying among scientists who study the human brain is "Use it before you lose it." We have the power to help keep our brain fit and working well. Dr. Lawrence Katz, a neurologist at Duke University, urges people to perform daily mental exercises such as brushing your teeth with the nondominant hand or taking a new route to work to help stimulate the brain and keep it healthy. The goal is to replace unthinking routine with fresh awareness and new focus.
There's a lesson here for us as followers of Jesus Christ. Even the most valuable spiritual disciplines of Bible reading and prayer can become so habitual that our minds are not fully engaged.
To avoid slipping into a spiritual rut, why not add Scripture memory to your daily devotional time? It's a mental effort designed to produce spiritual change. The psalmist wrote, "Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You" (Psalm 119:11). Paul said, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2).
It's more than a brain game to memorize and meditate on the powerful Word of God. David McCasland
Let God's Word fill your memory, rule your heart, and guide your feet.
On one of the local news chanells last night I saw where a group of Mennonites had showed up to help out a group of Amish farmers that had been hard hit by the Sunday storms. The men already had the better part of a two story house framed up.
Also the T. Roosevelt brought in the last two squadrons that are retiring F-14 Tomcats. Bummer

Well I have to go see about getting another load of firewood cut this AM before I have to go to work tonight. Y'all have a great day.

Industrious folks are amazing.
It's amazing to think of the Tomcats as being retired.
Mornin' alfa6.
Beas are good for you, mmmm, good.
Good morning and thank you Mayor.
I'm going to try this, but if I stick my toothbrush up my nose, it will be your fault. :^)
Oh, and I'll read too.
Beas good.
Lima beas taste like soap.
Oh no, what have I gotten myself into.. : )
