Morning Phil Dragoo.

I always enjoyed your commentary, it was right up there with Dennis Miller's rants. You have a way with words that few people I've run into have. Your posts were always good for a chuckle, a belly laugh or to get your blood boiling.

Depends on who is in it and how much she takes off and shows

LOL! There arern't even a whole lot of those worth the time in Hollywierd now. Most have such bad politics it's hard to stomach them in their screen roles.

Yeah, when I was stationed in Germany with the 23rd Ordance Co, I figured our job was to just "buy time" till Reforger could take place.

The rubber tree had multiple uses that needed only to be discovered.

And this led to the Peter, Paul & Mary tribute "Rubber Tree"

When I was just a lad of ten, my father said to me,
Come here and learn a lesson from the lovely rubber tree.
Don’t put your faith in love, my boy, my father said to me,
I fear you’ll find that love is like the lovely rubber tree.

rubber tree very pretty and the rubber flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor rubber is impossible to eat.
rubber tree very pretty and the rubber flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor rubber is impossible to eat.

Beneath the rubber tree one day, my love and I did a lie
A girl so sweet that when she smiled the sun rose in the sky.
We passed that summer lost in love beneath the rubber tree
The music of her laughter hid my father’s words from me:

rubber tree very pretty and the rubber flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor rubber is impossible to eat.
rubber tree very pretty and the rubber flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor rubber is impossible to eat.

One day she left without a word. she took away the sun.
And in the dark she left behind, I knew what she had done.
She’d left me for another, it’s a common tale but true.
A sadder man but wiser now I sing these words to you:

rubber tree very pretty and the rubber flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor rubber is impossible to eat.
rubber tree very pretty and the rubber flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor rubber is impossible to eat.

Now is your time on the mountain, and you will be called down again when the next crisis erupts.

A well-earned sabbatical based on birdwatching rather than IFF from a P-3 Orion on station.

Snoopy replaces his musket above the mantle of his dog house.

Semper fido.

Damn, I always meant to tell the story of my Dad on Guadacanal here. There's a lesson there about procrastination.

Thanks Fiddlstix.

It was always fun to catch the tunes and have some coffee and Donuts in the mornings.

Hope the Doctor visit wasn't for anything serious.

Snoopy, Snippy and I will be quaffing a few root beers for a while but we'll have the muskets primed and ready.

Note to self: Preview before posting!
