End of Day report:
10:30 [o-dark thirty] Bitty girl is offered buttered toast to accompany her botle of vitamin D whole milk. She says, "thanks dad, but I'd prefer the chocolate chip cookie on the counter." After some discussion, and half a cookie, she also has some sliced turkey and a piece of mozzerella to make the toast into a sandwich.
14:30 Dad opts for some chili with beans and about a dozen slices of jalapeno. Wisely thinking of the afternoon diaper patrol duties, Bittygirl is offered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She inhales it, and states, "thank you sir, may I have another".
19:00 Whilst roaming through the kitchen Bittygirl spies the last jello fruit cup. she immediately indicates her desire to eat said jello. [desire is expressed by marching in place to show excitement. Hey it works] Dad, being practical, has leftover bbq chicken, with a side of mashed taters and some fruit. Bittygirl, realizing her meal is nowhere near complete, asks for chicken and taters too. She consumes all, slowly, but with great zeal.
20:00 the last of the jello is wiped from BG's face. Alas, no pictures, gotta protect the innocent until proven guilty, er, Msdrby has it. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Tired dad out.
Are they 1st cousins? I've got two, that I know of, 1st cousins who are 20+ years younger than me.
I'm not sure, since we're the poster family for Disfuntional Family R Us.
LOL
Time for tired dad to hit the feathers.
ms feather is heading in that general direction, too.
Night all.
BWAAHAHAHAHA... Are you ready for this? Okay, here goes.
They are my first cousin's children. This first cousin is the same age as my oldest daughter and is referred to as my younger daughter's "big brother." Since 1st cousin is "Big Brother", that means Myranda is called "Aunt." But, I can be referred to as both Aunt and Granny by the kids. However, Jill is just Jill. Therefore, my 1st cousin Jason is also my son.... and my Uncle is my son's dad. Hmmmmmmmmm... that all sounds very.... rural Texan doesn't it?
Yeah, we get laughs out of this. But, it was "interesting" a week ago when the youngest 2nd cousin called me up on Thursday night to invite me to a "Grandparent's Day Muffin Breakfast" for her Pre-K class. I was to be her Grandparent-O-The-Day. :-) But, nobody at her school had ever seen me even though both her grandmothers are on the "pickup list" for her at school. Aunt C, her grandmother (who I am also living with at present) suggested that I introduce myself at the school office for entrance as the "aunt."
So, with all this confusing family connection that we've sewn into this 4 year old's psyche I am escorted into the classroom for "Grandparent's Day" by the school official I've told I am the "aunt." The teacher asks my cousin to introduce me and thekid (who normally calls me Granny or Aunt) says, "it's my cousin [wneighbor]. BWAAAHAHAHAHA She ain't no fool!
LOL
