10 more days until my wife realizes she has to move our stuff on her own!ROTFLOL. I'll bet she has a clue sooner than that.
Where are you off to or do you know?

She said "Thank you"
My nephew is a sailor out here with us and we make it a point to drive him nuts with our Marine jargon. Keeps him on his toes.

Tiger meat, yum.
"9 AD Publius Quinctilius Varus (59), Roman governor of Germania (6-9 AD), died of likely suicide following defeat at the Battle of Teutoburg Forest"
One of the most important battles, Teutoburger Wald. Not as important as Tours or Lepanto.
Varus really, really messed up. Got his entire command, three entire Legions, killed or made slaves. The German honcho was called Arminius by the Romans. Arminius is still a big German hero. Do a Google and you will get a lot of hits in German.
Um, looks like German treachery to me. He was set up big time. What a fool Varus was.

This was the Naval Battle that my fathers ship the USS Monson was lost. My dad was one of 11 who survived the sinking. One who didn't was his older brother Charles an Uncle I never got to meet.

The freeper/sailor chief that I got to know on the Tarawa is lucky to have both his parents as veteran Marines. I've heard alot of the jokes between the Navy and Marines. LOL.
Hey, tell your wife I got to sit in the Admiral's chair. We have a thread on the Tarawa and our visit their. Lots of pics. Someday she'll have to take a look at it.
