LOL
My little joke for the day.
Beautiful prayer Wneighbor. Thank you.
P.E. Love your flag-o-grams today.
It's Memorial Day not Veterans Day but thank you again for being one who has served.
Thank you Bentfeather.
I am thankful that I have a place where I can share that kind of prayer with like-minded people. Ads for Memorial Day sales have made me slightly angry.
I know. ;-)
Several days ago, I had the opportunity to walk through a matress retailer's warehouse. The place was packed floor to roof, and everywhere in between, with new matresses. They were getting ready for the Memorial Day sale. I quite bluntly stated, "I don't know why someone would be shopping for a bed just because it's a holiday".
Latter on I did admit to having an extremely intense urge to "jump on the bed". The group with me laughed heartily.
garsh
I haven't been in a lot of mattress stores in my life. LOL... I bought mine at Sam's until we moved up here. Grama wanted to buy Myranda a super-nice pillow-top because we had redone Grama's mother's 4 poster bed for Myranda. So, we went to mattress stores to see what Myranda wanted. Could NOT resist flopping on some of those mountains of cush! :-)
Myranda got a nice mattress and I've been jealous! :-)
God Bless you Mike.
Thank you for doing your part.
And I praise God that you are safe.
I have been relatively safe and sound at home for about 5 months now.
thank you :)
Thanks for the ping. And a salute for all your efforts on this site. The world has been made a better place by those who served. Honor the Dead. God Bless America.
Alia, Thank you for sharing.
My prayers and memorials are joined with yours today. Thank you for telling me of one specific soldier whom I may memorialize.
I saw that on your homepage! I had spoken with you once long ago when you were still in Iraq. My son-in-law was also there at that time. He has been back for quite some time so I thought you might have returned. I'm rejoicing for you that you're home again with family. And I surely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
glad to hear your son in law made it back safely too!!
Have a happy Memorial Day!!
Well, my first belly-laugh of the morning from this. BWAAAAHAHAHAHA...
you are a nut!!
~eye roll~
Trivia: At an outdoor survival training course for women a few years ago one of the things listed among items as highly flamable in case you needed to start an emergency fire was the lining stuff in a WonderBra.
Excellent poem Sam, Thanks.
Thank you Mike!
You all have a good Memorial Day too.
Mission accomplished. The Flag has been returned to it's full upright and locked position.
It had been flying at half-staff since daybreak, per custom.
I'm LMAO at Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer speaking spaglish while jousting in stock cars.
