Sun's out, for now. They're predicting more rain for the rest of the week.

Morning alfa6.
Sheetrock moved no damage
I don't think I ever got a whole load moved without at least one broken set. Good job.

Morning Samwise.
The Winter War was overshadowed by events in Poland and Western Europe.

Good morning ladies. Flag-o-Gram.

10/03/04 - A lone airman salutes the U.S. flag as the final scene at this year's Air Force tattoo ceremony at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., on Oct. 3, 2004. The word Tattoo is derived from the Dutch word "Tap-toe" which means quite literally "turn off the taps." The signal which indicated that soldiers should return to their quarters and that the beer in the taverns should be turned off was transmitted by drum beat each evening. Eventually this developed into a ceremonial performance of military music by massed bands. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Amber K. Whittington) (Released)

1912 Werner von Braun Wirsitz Germany, rocket expert
Gather 'round while I sing you of Wernher von Braun,
A man whose allegiance
Is ruled by expedience
Call him a Nazi, he won't even frown,
"Ha, Nazi, Schmazi," says Wernher von Braun.
Don't say that he's hypocritical,
Say rather that he's apolitical.
"Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down?
That's not my department," says Wernher von Braun.
Some have harsh words for this man of renown,
But some think our attitude
Should be one of gratitude,
Like the widows and cripples in old London town,
Who owe their large pensions to Wernher von Braun.**
You too may be a big hero,
Once you've learned to count backwards to zero.
"In German oder English I know how to count down,
Und I'm learning Chinese!" says Wernher von Braun.

** Von Braun had helped design the German V-I and V-II rockets that attacked London

Nice pics alfa6.
I found an interesting article on the "air war" during the winter war. I'll keep it in mind for a possible thread idea.

Chamberlain and Daladier were definately the wrong men at the wrong time. "Inept" comes to mind.
