He eventually rose from his sickbed, pale and feeble, and called for his horse in order to go forward and investigate. It was Hill who informed Lee that his men were in no condition for further exertion and Lee obliged.

The battle on Culp's Hill and Cemetery Hill often get overlooked in "general" accounts of Gettysburg. The batte for the Round Tops get all the coverage on Day 2. Yet, IMHO, the Culp's hill flank would have been easier to turn.
Agreed. I'm just now getting into studying this aspect of Gettysburg. Maybe if Greene had run out of ammo and ordered a bayonet charge his northern flank would have gotten more glory. ;^)
I'm sure it's okay. It's good to recognize those fighting and dying for us today, without forgetting those gone before us, KIA, MIA, POW or those fortunate enough to come home afterwards. We'll never forget any of their service and sacrifice.
