I am sorry for the lost soldiers, Matt. I share the feelings of many Americans in saying thanks for the sacrifices Poland is making for the freedom and security of the world. We value our new allies.

"Famous Last Words...
Well we've made it this far!"

That one made me laugh out loud. A bit sardonically.

I want to see that and "National Treasure".

Took my family to see National Treasure yesterday. People in the theatre applauded at its conclusion. The Indiana Jones type suspense is entertaining but the historical content is both patriotic and inspiring. Take your family and Ms. Snip to see it . . . its edge of your seat viewing!

PS Snip, sent you an email.

You should never set foot on a boat who's ultimate function and design is to sink.

If you go up hill both ways to get to where you are going, you are going to the wrong navigation school.

But after the 101st was releived by the 4th AD who had the door opened for them by the 6th AD, the 6th AD held Bastogne against five German divisions. The 101st had a better PR staff.

You're reading to topo maps to indicate the streams running along the ridges too.

If the streams were in the valleys, they would be lakes. It would also be a great engineering feat to build a bridge over a river that only ran on the crest of the hill.

I second the vote for National Treasure. History buffs like us have to set aside any skepticism about the accuracy or even possibility of the plot happening, but then the movie gets fun. You can see why the MSM reviewers hated this movie, it revels in American history, honors hard work, loyalty and family, and is a movie you can take your kids to that isn't a cartoon.

That's what I wanted to hear. The Premise behind the movie sounded really intriguing

Losing one good man is losing one too many.

There is no nice way to put this, but losing a good man causes sadness, but way more so, deep anger, never forgetting rage.

Well, actually, I am pretty easy going, because I know that "Judgment is mine, sayeth the Lord." But, you, know, a little justice doesn't hurt here in this world, either.

Speaking of past atrocity, the Forrest, what would really get the justice job done (since the guilty individuals have already faced the Judgment Seat) is to show the Germans and the Russians a clean set of technological heels. Put together the organization required. I know you lads can do it. Think how fun it will be when your grandchildren look at the latest German machine without any comment, without any comment needed, with no expression. A little, little bit in the eyes, only.

Been trying to do that here for all of my life. Drowning is a sea of Leftists. Not a drop of honor in the whole bunch.

So I come here to have a root beer and to dream of a better world.

Then back to work. The Rear Guard. Hold them off long enough and it will come time for the counter offensive.

Thanks for the National Treasure data. I hate almost all movies, would like to see the perpetrators brought to justice. Love a few movies. Looking forward to Treasure. Thanks again.

That philosophy works for me. :-)

Yeah, the 6th AD doesn't get a lot of credit for their part in the Battle for Bastogne.

Sam and I have been wanting to see this since we first heard of it. With the store we haven't been able to find the time. Grrr. I think we'll shoot for a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day showing. Hey Sam, perhaps the day after Christmas/Sunday. :-)
