Morning Iris7.
Reagan did something I never thought I'd live to see, he ended the Cold War with the Soviet Union. We finally had a leader who knew you had to defeat an enemy not compromise with him.

Thirty Marines killed in Fallujah. Bulldoze the place. You're too kind, carpet bomb it, bulldoze it and sow the earth with salt. Do a Carthage on it.

And enough with polls of what people think of military action and dithering in Congress. Some things never change.Amen to that!

Morning PE.
Hoping for our price labels to come in today so we can get our inventory priced. Can't believe they only gave us a "sample roll" of labels. Of course they're "non standard" size so we can't get them through Office Max or Office Depot.

1947 Un-American Activities Committee finds "Hollywood 10" in contempt because of their refusal to reveal whether they were communists
The Hollywood Ten in 1948 with their attorneys, after contesting their contempt of congress citations.
From left, front row: Herbert Biberman, attorneys Martin Popper and Robert W. Kenny, Albert Maltz, Lester Cole, second row: Dalton Trumbo, John Howard Lawson, Alvah Bessie, Samuel Ornitzback row: Ring Lardner Jr., Edward Dmytryk, Adrian Scott. The ten men were convicted of contempt. Their appeals of course were denied, all served prison terms of up to one year.
No Commies in Hollywood, BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA.

IMHO, Iran is behind a lot of the troubles in the Middle East, we still owe them a lot of payback for the hostage crisis.

Good morning Iris7. If we don't make folks tear up once in awhile we're not doing our job.
God Bless the United States Navy and her sailors.

...it's not far-fetched to say this was probably a 9-11-style strike that was thwarted. I hadn't thought of that. It's certainly plausible. Thanks rr.

You're welcome. Ever since it happened, I always felt it was a suicide attack and that the commander did the right thing.

Excuses for Being Late for Work...
"Sorry, sir. I overslept and dreamt I had a dead-end job, a windowless office and a humorless baboon for a boss." I used to have that dream.
