Be nice. We jumped on Heyworth about the name calling.
There were bad guys on both sides, even if people don't want to accept it. Doesn't change the facts.

The mob committed violence upon the helpless, the hopelessly outnumbered, yet--
When the draft resumed a month later, 43 regiments were stationed in the vicinity. The drawing was completed without further disturbance
So it is with the putzjadeen in Fallujah and environs: cowardly brutality against unsuspecting civilians--
--the bestiality of five hooded schmucks with AKs beheading a single blindfolded and trussed victim--
Now John Forktongued Kerry bemoans the fiendish panties-on-the-head torture of the infamous Abu Grabyou--
--while ignoring the 300,000 dead in Saddam's mass graves.
Irony of the Week:
Forktongue blasts Bush's coalition military intervention in Iraq's genocide--
--yet loudly lobbies for unilateral military intervention in Sudan's genocide--
--wishing us to ignore that our national security is in question in the former but not the latter.
Now come the demunist mobs, the AFL-CIO yellow/brownshirts to invade and intimidate the GOP headquarters of swing states nationwide.
As the shrieking kerrifairies bewail the coming Grim Reaper in the garb of the revitalized draft--

LOL.
This is all so pitiful but you, in a grand American tradition, use humor to make our troubles bearable so we can stand it and go on another day to try and make it better.
Thanks Phil.

Evening Phil Dragoo.
When we heard about the co-ordinated Union Goon Squad attacks on Republican Campaign Headquarters I told Snippy I had a certain image in my mind from history.
The signs today could read "Union Members - Don't vote Republican!"
Labor Unions the American Brownshirts
LOL! I'll never understand how the likes of Charlie Rangel stays in Congress.!

One thing we can probably all agree on is that in today's world most of the bad appears to be on the left.Absolutely. Heck, there aren't many regimes in the world today that I'd consider Right in the classical sense. It's sort of an truism that if you're murdering your or someone else's citizens, you're not upholding the virtues of the right.

Hi guys. Had an incredibly busy week.
Nice post. Lincoln sure had to put up with a lot of bravo sierra from the Democrats to save the union.

LOL! Mostly PITH, some fun. I had some meetings in Charleston. Not enough time to get out to Ft. Sumter, but I did see it from the Battery. Those rich folks would have had quite a view of the bombardment.

Charleston was hot and muggy, especially given what I'm used to. Interesting place, though. The antebellum mansions in the old battery area show that people were making a lot of money from being a major port. I wished I'd had time to get out to Sumter and see some of the museums. Ate some mighty good seafood - I've never had shrimp and grits before!
