Nowadays, every kid prefers to be a sorcerer or so rather than a Cowboy or an Indian. Times change.I'm hoping that with the renewed emphasis on Moon/Mars/Space that kids can start thinking about being astronauts, scientists and engineers. Apollo did that for me.

WOOOOHOOOOO!! No shadow to be seen here.....an early Spring!!
Raining cats and dogs and that's wreaking havoc with the satellite signal. One of the drawbacks having satellite ISP in TN. LOL! We'll see how long I get to stay on this time. Been trying to get to FR for a little bit now.

Another case of a butterbar screwing up a mission. Why didn't the commander send along an experienced platoon sergeant to keep the kid out of trouble?
Your Indian Wars threads are nice, telling the stories in an evenhanded way, not affected either by modern p.c. or the old demonization of the Indians.
I agree with you, Sam, about the John Wayne/John Ford movies. "Fort Apache" shows the Indians as very dignified with genuine grievances, while Colonel Thursday (Henry Fonda) is an incompetant peacock.
