I remember seeing Zulu. The Zulu's singing was kind of spooky. ;-)

She may just come down to Texas. ;-) Hey, now that's an idea. Wouldn't it be great if we could take a month or two for vacation and have an American road trip to see our Foxhole folks. I'm a dreamer!

Hey, now that's an idea. Wouldn't it be great if we could take a month or two for vacation and have an American road trip to see our Foxhole folks. I'm a dreamer!I'd love to be able to do this myself. There is so much to see here. Revolution and Civil War battlefields, Mt. Rushmore, Little Big Horn. So many places, so little time.
To: colorado tanker
in point of fact, Santa Anna was "being entertained" by a TEXICAN spy, who we call the Yellow Rose of Texas!
she was so entertaining that he never got out of bed till the battle was over.

This has to be the luckiest man alive not to have got the Full Mussolini on the spot. Houston was in a stratosphere of statesmanship to extract the far richer price: the order to surrender.
What a masterstroke by determined force with brilliant leadership.
Agree with all that, Phil. Houston was very wise to ignore the hotheads, bide his time, and fight at a time and place of his choosing.

the YELLOW ROSE was not only Houston's spy, but she was a "lady of colour". she was believed to be a "quadroon".
it's not PC, for some reason or other, now to celebrate her COURAGE, brains & her ethnic makeup?????
