I prefer not to be so negative. I’m hoping Ron Paul can win the GOP nomination, and save both the party and the country. Seeing these types of fundraising numbers gives me hope, but I’m still not holding my breath.

Anti-war kool-aid drinkers sure seem to have an excess of money. Must be to make up for their lack of good sense.

BTW, Pauliacs, he ain’t sitting in the chair yet.

I think this article is wrong. Romney raised $6.5 million in one day.

Hey take it easy!, I'm NOT a Paul Hater.

The website i cited is a moveon.org entity, that IS supporting Paul...what do you make of that?

there was a “teaser” on FNS tonight about Billious Bobble headed Billionaire Bloomberg and how he might change his mind.
I am looking for the Reynold’s wrap as we type, but I am not so sure that I will actually don the infoil hat!

He’s Howard Dean part two. Same foreign policy. Same moonbat supporters.

Only difference is Dean actually had support among Democrats; Paul has none among Republicans.

Paul's total deposed Mitt Romney as the single-day fundraising record holder in the Republican presidential field.

Wrong. Don't believe everything you read, I guess.

If, by some slim chance he got the nomination, he would neither save the party or America. Terrorists would have free reign and the Republican party would be no more.

I’m still curious why, since he claims to be a life long libertarian, he runs as a Republican instead of what he is?

Why would it split the party, I thought it was only the loony left that supported RP?

there’s very little chance I’ll be supporting the GOP nominee next year.

And that was my point to the others. He's basically a RINO. He's a Libertarian serving as a GOPer out of convenience. And since Libertarians pull between 1-3% of the vote nationally, that's what you can expect for Paul. He may do a little better this time due to his moonbat-friendly take on the Iraq war. But he's not stealing GOP votes or money. I don't think there are any real far out antiwar moonbats in the GOP, are there? So anyone who votes for Paul was lost already.

Why did you put the word brilliant in ‘scare quotes’? I didn’t say it was brilliant. It’s on point, though, as you will see in time.

Mitt raised about 2.5 million in CASH, the rest was so-called pledges, IIRC. RP’s donations are in CASH.

Whatta racket! How do they do it? If I could raise that much, not in a day but, heck, in a month, I’d quite my s_itty job in a New York minute!

I suspect those were pledges for Romney rather than actual donations online.....but could be wrong. In any case, FEC stats should settle the matter.

I think it’s far above 3.5 million by now. Never seen a candidate with greater appeal across groups. The one group you won’t see supporting him? Neo-cons!

Terrorists would have free reign and the Republican party would be no more.

If Paul were president, unlike with Jorge, the federal government might not be shutting down gun stores over typos. Then we could buy the guns ourselves and shoot them. Imagine if Americans were not conditioned to be sheep by their government and had shot the sons of bitches on 9/11, there wouldn't have been thousands of dead people and destroyed towers.

Americans are good little slave sheep conditioned to keep voting for the establishment candidates they are forced fed by Svengalis in the media like Sean Hannity. They will get the tyrants they deserve.

I agree with you. I did not vote for Tweedledee or Tweedledum in ‘04. Too bad I voted for Tweedledum in ‘00.

That's interesting. My story is just the opposite. I didn't vote GOP or DEM in 00 (I've never voted DEM on any level.) In 04 I voted Bush/Cheney. I wouldn't say I did so enthusiastically, but I did so dutifully, and do not regret it. I have never regretted it, for the reasons I had were sound.

Ironically, I did regret my 00 vote for Harry "No Regrets" Browne. That was his slogan--No regrets. As in, hey, yer voting for a guarenteed loser, but you'll feel good about yourself! Except I didn't.

Should have voted for Keyes.

LOL. Keyes is such a joke. Can't win dog catcher. In love with the sound of his own voice. No leadership skills, no executive skills, total blowhard. Yeah, you should vote for him.

Regardless of what comes, I’m pretty sure this country is toast.

Be careful. Sometimes if you invest yourself too deeply in pessimism, you slowly begin to want it. You want things to turn to crap. And that's a crappy way to live.
