The 2 straw polls were organized by who?
Paul supporters?
I was there, did the Ron Paul campaign purchase any tickets? I don’t think so, all of the people I know bought their own tickets! I would wager that there were very few, I’d say less than 10, people who weren’t from NH voting in your straw poll.
All of the candidates and their campaigns had the same opportunity to bring their supporters to the picnic, and they either didn’t care enough to or couldn’t muster the support. We brought over 200 of our supporters to your fundraiser, you should be thanking us!
“Be careful - 200 Ron Paul supporters may decide to join your family for Labor day...”
They would drive from Texas to attend. And they would find id’s with your family’s name, just for that day, so they could attend and vote.
ALOYSIUS COX?
I thought the guy was named John Cox...
No....but's lets assume that they were. If they were organized by the Paulites, the Thompson, Huckabee, Romney campaigns got fooled big time because they chose to compete. What would that say about them? Instead, it is obvious that a child who competes and losers a checkers they choose to overturn the board rather than act like gentlemen.
Paul is not concerned about preventing another 9-11. He rather blame the USA for 9-11. This man is a buffoon at best, while our young are at war he receives support from code pink.
James...if you want to believe this poll is meaningful, go ahead. But you have a better chance of meeting a real Romulan than you do of Ron Paul getting the nomination.
Time to return from outer space, James.
I’m voting for Ron Paul in the primaries.
No, it sounds like they didn’t give a crap about spending campaign money on the illustrious “Strafford County NH straw poll”
>> I thought the guy was named John Cox...
:-)
You’re probably right. I didn’t know his first name so I made one up. I didn’t think anyone would catch it!
“National Federation of Republican Assemblies”
Never heard of them, their website doesn’t say much..
But will KJC1 have to cook them food, or will they bring their own?
Heck, if they’ll bring GOOD BBQ & some of what they’re drinking, maybe I’ll hold a straw poll of my own!
would you like a President Hillary Clinton with the powers of the PATRIOT Act?
“Sure, a straw poll, at least in this case, is a poll which the major campaigns (Romney, Thompson, and Huckabee) chose to contest”
BZZZZZZZZZZZTTT! Wrong again. They didn’t contest the straw poll.
New Hampshire is sometimes a very interesting state as presidential primaries go. Any unenrolled voter can choose the ballot of either party and vote in the primaries. Many years that means that Dems can vote in the Republican primary and candidates like McCain and Paul can receive a ton of Democrat crossover votes, skewing the election.
That is not the case this year. All of the Democrats will be voting in the Democrat primary because there is an actual contest in their party. What this means is that the voters in the Republican primary will be Republicans. Paul won’t even make a showing.
I predict a close election with Thompson and Romney in the lead with Rudy 10 or 15 points behind. All of the others will be a distant memory before the South Carolina primary. If Fred doesn’t get in, Mitt will be the clear winner. Hunter still stands a slight chance of picking up some support but I think it’s just going to be the hard-core party faithfuls who vote for him.
Do you wish the Ron Paul phenomenon would just go away? It's very simple. All you have to do is
But I ain't holdin' my breath.
Actually, Huckabee and Tom Tancredo were both in attendance and gave decent speeches.
If mccain wins the nod..I’ll stay home..
If Paul wins it...I’ll vote Dem.
Actually that’s a good idea. We have a block party next week.
I may organize a straw poll at it.
But if I organize it, I create the ballot. And I count the votes.
“We brought over 200 of our supporters to your fundraiser, you should be thanking us!”
Exactly what I said and I did thank you.
