Is that like an evacuation?Could be, only Dr. Paul won't be the matter "evacuated".
To: flintsilver7
(Paul is most certainly not about defending America when he plays the role of suicide-bomber apologist.)
And you can quote him making defenses of suicide-bombers? Please do so.

And he wants to bring American soldiers home so they don't get killed. Therefore, he has abandoned and hates them.Either that or he wants to get the troops out of the way and use the Ohio-Class submarines to straighten out the Middle East.
That option is fine with me.

The latest Republican Presidential front-runner is "none of the above".
What does that tell you?
To: elkfersupper
It is an AP Poll. What does that tell you? The AP wants very badly for a democrat to win. The AP is about as trustworthy at reporting the unbiased truth as Ron Paul is on Foreign Policy and fighting Al Qaeda, pitiful.

All that would be fine, except the AP poll reflects the current sentiment of me and my circle of friends and family (including an Uncle that was my State's Republican Party Chairman for nearly two decades).
Now what?
To: elkfersupper
Fred Thompson or Mitt Romney will get the nomination, most likely Fred Thompson. If you are not happy with that, do not vote.

And what in his remarks and citations of the most comprehensive study of suicide bombers ever produced do you consider to be apologetics for suicide bombers? I don't see it in his remarks. There is a difference between offering studies and explanations for irrational murderous behavior and being an apologist for it. Understanding and offering studies that explain the appeal of Nazism or Communism or Scientology isn't the same as being an apologist for them.
Do you have a comprehensive study on suicide bombers that reaches a different conclusion? Please post it.

Great little video today. Ron is really on the campaign warpath. Did you read his note about his day at Google and the fundraisers? That was pretty thrilling stuff. I’m so glad for Ron personally and for our conservative liberty message.

Polling at 1-2% among Republicans is a “Movement”????
The only reason he’s getting ANY press at all is because he’s against the war, and it fits the liberal media action line.
I’ll bet that when PoliticalMoneyLine updates, his contributors, you’ll find that MOST of recent ones actually donate to DEMOCRATS.

Is it a burden to the American people to police the world? No doubt. Is it a crime to have the power to make the world better but instead choose the not my job approach?Just exactly how are we supposed to pay for the job of being the world's policemen? Where is the money going to come from? We already have to borrow heavily to cover the military actions we're taking now, so how in the world could we possibly afford to do any more or even to maintain what we're already doing? In other words it doesn't really matter if we want to be the world's policeman or not because the funds to do it just don't exist.
To: George W. Bush
Aye! Republicans are waking up to the fact that the war is bad for our nation.
Attacking Ron Paul is a mistake. Paul may yet hand the Republican Party a victory. There is no chance a Republican hawk will win.
Conservatives like William F. Buckley, Jr. and Ron Paul are a hundred times more intelligent than blowhards like Sean Hannity.

a rash of TV interviews: In the last two months, he has appeared on This Week, The Daily Show, Tucker, Lou Dobbs Tonight, and The Colbert Report, among other venues With all the heated rhetoric being exchanges on this thread, I found it most telling that 40% of the TV appearances the author cited are on the Comedy Central cable TV channel. There's another post citing that Ron Paul's support is now up to 3%. All of which indicates that the support for the candidate has a narrow focus of supporters.
It also reminds me of the time I was active in the local Libertarian Party; good ideas, but most people involved seemed to enjoy arguing with each other rather than promoting common beliefs, which explains why 3% support is something apparently worth bragging about.

so is the difference between the substance presented of my positions versus yours. In your opinion only - mine is the reverse. The substance is on the side of the constitution and and the danger is on the side of the GOP as currently embodied by Bush whose spending habits would make slick willie blush and whose dogged persistence in persuing amnesty for 20,000,000 illegals hispanics is a far worse danger to the USA than any islamic terrorists could ever dream of being.
You say this isn't relevant but that's not your call to make. When you defame a candidate as you and bb are doing by misquoting them and claiming your interpretation is what they said, then not only are you being dishonest by trying to sway others' opinions with what boils down to a lie, but more importantly, then you are rejecting all of their views in favor of another candidate.
Personally I'm not 100% in agreement with RP or any candidate; however, when you compare his positions as a package to the democrats or the equally repulsive and tyrannical main GOP candidates then in my opinion he is the logical choice.

Here at FR? I thought that wasn't allowed here.
I'm not your nanny but I would suggest you ask one of the mods whether that's allowed here. I recall that before the Rudybots were dumped, for a while there you couldn't post such pictures. Since then, maybe they do allow it.
Me? I think it's funny because I think the leftwing mayor is remarkably autocratic and says many scary and un-American things.

Where is the money going to come from?
Printing presses at the mints. Nothing to stop them since there is nothing to back the currency anyway.
It's the usual manipulation and devaluation of currency, aided and abetted by the Federal Reserve who tunes the interest rates to offset the devaluation.
It's a very sophisticated variation of money devaluation schemes that have been well-known since the Middle Ages in Europe and before.
I'm not certain you can have a global empire without such schemes.
