"Totally false. The fight going on in America is between religion and atheism, not between different religions and what is being fought about is the complete cowing of religious expression. That is against the Constitution."That is your focus perhaps, but to say what focus others have who use two or more religions to promote contention between people is illogical. It does not bear up to scrutiny. It is not a "totally false" stament by virtue of a great deal of evidence to the contrary.
To say anyone believing in variations of evolution of plants and animal life do not have or cannot have standing as Christians or conservatives would be illogical as well.
I would say by your extreme antipathy of atheistic beliefs that you see no protection of their right to be religion free by the U.S.Constitution. If I am incorrect assuming this, please let me know.
All things being equal and if that is indeed your take on things, I obviously disagree with that. Sentient creatures have the basic right to make an informed choice to be atheists, and do not deserve any stigmatization because they do.
And merely being an atheist does not automatically pit you against Christianity, or any other religion.
I find your intolerance of them puzzling and quite unsettling.

Yes.He had to explain an abusive post or email he made during a freepathon last year,"overwhelmed"he said.A freeper posted it on TOS.
He threatened that if they didn't think he could get them banned,"try me".The big fight last year was over his lack of influence on the mods, making this all the more amusing.

Secret messages are always typed in all caps, reminiscent of clunky old teletype machine output. Haven't you seen any movies?

With near-earth orbits, that's true eventually I guess. But it doesn't have to be quick. With Geosynch, a really long time :-)

Haven't you seen any movies? No, I'm sorry, my wife doesn't let me out of the doghouse much so I am pretty isolated.:>)

I've yet to figure out what the creationism vs. evolution debate has to do with "rolling back years of government largesse" however. This is not the thread for debating that issue (it's about BADJOE), so I won't try to steer things into an off-thread debate here, but I want to respond -- just this once -- to your point. The science threads are interesting of themselves, attracting some pretty good freepers who participate not only in the science threads, but also in a variety of other topics.
Many of us think evolution in particular is an important topic for the forum. As you probably know, the evolution vs creationism debate is a raging issue in school boards all across the country, so it's a very current topic. The general idea many of us have is that if one vocal group -- an anti-evolution group -- claims to be the exclusive voice of the conservative movement and thus the republican party, well ... there will be consequences. We don't want the tent to get too small, do we? If we don't have a winning party, we can't roll back anything.

I meant to refer to delicious Spam LiteTM, of course. I still have some I bought for Y2K. It's non-biodegradable.
