You're wasting your time. These people hate Arnold with a passion. No amount of reasoning on your part can or will change that.

First of all, let's try to limit the personal attacks. Okay?I'll give you precisely what you deserve.
And after this little interchange, what you deserve is to be ignored.

Ignore the pea-brains. Choosing Willie Brown was a stroke of genius. Brown is almost as good as an independent audit, and Brown knows where all of the bodies are buried.

"I don't approve of homosexuality, but I don't go around derogatorily calling them "homos". "
Rolling my eyes ... "homos" is short hand for homosexuals. THAT is WHAT they ARE. That's NOT being "derogatory". I'd say faggot is a more derogatory term. BTW, what do you call them?
"The only thing I don't like about people of that lifestyle is that they are trying to socially change what really is not normal. I don't want my kids to be accepting of it."
And they are succeeding with the help of touchy folks like you! They are NOT normal.
"You equate what Billery did with the nonverifiable "accusations" of what my new Governor did."
My accusations of being PRO homo are true. My accusations of being a groper are true. My accusations of Arnold being PRO abortion are true. Look at WHO he chose as his transition team. Each one supports one of these views not to mention that Arnold supposrt ALL these views. Remain in denial, if you must. I think the real problem is that you don't want to hear it.
"He admitted bad behavior wich is a hell of a lot more than I can say for cocaine-using Billy boy."
Agreed and Arnold also admitted he took a toke or two but didn't like it.
"By the way, most of my family are life-long members of the John Birch Society. I am proud of that."
Excellant organization which puzzles me more as to why you endorse RHINO's? DO you let fear compromise your conscience and your beliefs as a way of life?
"As for Arnold, well, I said it before and I will say it again. I am a big fan of McClintock but in order to make sure a radical, anti-American Mecha supporter like Bustamante didn't get in, I voted for the more acceptable candidate."
Arnold isn't much better. TOo bad you let others badger into voting for another mediocre candiate.
"California is not like it used to be, but the tide is turning. It will never be like the Reagan-era, but we will be able to get a lot of this liberal crap under control."
I hope that is true ... .
"I was born in San Diego, have moved all over the U.S. I am an Army wife whose husband is in Iraq as I write this and has been there since Feb. 2003. He is not expected back until March 2004."
Let me offer you a sincere thank you for the sacrafice you are making. People like me DO appreciate it. Warmest regards to you.

Not to mention that Willy Brown was the longest serving speaker in the CA State Assembly. He knows everyone and with him on Arnold's team, the other Dems are defanged.
It was a masterstroke on Arnold's part. I think what people should look at is not just that Arnold asked them to be on his team, but that they actually accepted, which is a tacit understanding that they will work WITH him, instead of against him.
I am just so tired of people continuing the Arnold-bashing - I guess they are just frustrated that Davis was recalled and Bustamante didn't win.

"She is believable because she was there amongst the dirt and grime of the left. She finally saw the light and her book is a MUST READ. You can almost say that her background is parrallel to DAVID HOROWITZ. Her book scared the crap out of me."
I don't need or want advice form homos. You can be as impressed with homos as you like. If she "did see the light" then she'd turn away from being a homo. David Howowits is more of a LIBERALtarian who is anti-Christian. Not too impressed with him either.

"Do yourself a favor -- do some research on Bruce, and see why so many folks here aren't beside themselves at her being included in the transition team. "
Already have. Just can't join you in becoming another RHINO. I'm also not "beside" myself.

"The Republican surrender monkeys who supported Arnold won't stop there. They will now defend gun control, partial-birth abortion, homosexual adoption, and welfare for illegal aliens. LOL, just wait until Arnold rasies taxes - - the same surrender monkeys who greased themselves up and bent over for Arnold in the recall race will be defending tax increases, too."
Yeah ... I'm waiting. Old Arnold is just warming off with his freaky transition team and look at all the flack "conservatives" are giving me. LOL on "conservatives". Only in their dreams ... . More RHINO's who now sound like Clinton apologists did.

With this move he pulled the rug out from under them.
Yep, and beautifully done. Estrich and Bruce are also significant critics of the left themselves and will call out loudly if they see obstructionist tactics getting in the way... which is exactly what everyone predicted would happen if the GOP won this election.
Smart gent.

"You're discounting the possibility for someone who is treading a path that you don't personally approve of to change their viewpoint and their lives. We're all sinners. Without the opportunity for redemption, where is the hope for any of us? And by the way, you're stepping into personal attack territory here by saying I'm "as disturbed as she is." I would like you to take the opportunity to step back here."
You are right. I don NOT approve of homos. It IS against my religion, beliefs and from a secular standpoint commonsense. Has this homo repented? If so that's odd because the "lifestyle choice" is ongoing - homo. A homo has the same redemption option as any other sinner however it is being refused. I think we know where those folks will end up. I personally can't endorse that "life style choice" under ANY circumstance.
If you insist on uplifting homos, then yes, YOU do have a problem and just as disturbed as the homos you defend. Their "life style CHOICE" is wrong and always has been regardless of who indulged in it or when. TOo bad of that hurts your feelings. This is a frank discussion. Not a touchy feely one.

Were you surprised by Schwarzenegger's support for McCain's Amnesty yesterday? I was... that he said it so openly, so soon, I mean.
It is exactly what he said he supported and he had posted at his campaign site for the last several weeks... and what I copied to numerous threads here about the recall.

I cannot believe the level of poison still infecting these threads... the recall is over, Arnold won and has yet to implement a single policy, affect any legislation or issue an executive order.
Poison simply for poison's sake.

Poison simply for poison's sake.I agree. Some Arnold-basher had the audacity to tell me to "refrain from namecalling," after another Arnold-basher accused Arnold of being "worse than Hitler" and a "babykiller."
Frankly, I think we've reached the point in time where the more rational people on FR should think seriously about boycotting the poison pen posts aimed at Arnold, and concentrate on more constructive communications that will frame the debates for the 2004 election.
