No way with such a high profile case. This woman wants to become the next Johnnie Cochran and is obviously reading from his playbook. She had an agenda when agreeing to hold the preliminary hearing. She wanted to scare the victim by letting her know they will play hardball. She also wanted the talking heads to discuss the revelation that the victim may have had sex with three men in three days. She succeeded on both counts. Seriously hope she turns off the jurors as she did me.

It would be more prudent for the attorney not to fabricate a story about three men having sex with her. On the other - hand if you're ready to swallow that story there must be a few others wanting to believe it.

My Dad was the same way. Self educated, and very well educated (more literate than myself actually), reading the great books from his Uncle's collection that sat there after he died in a drowing accident. I still have on my self my Dad's dog eared copy of Les Miserables, published in 1909. But as a lad in High School he was impoverished White collar, living in the slums of Brooklyn (his Dad refused to work, and made his two sons work nights during high school to support the family). True story.

I'm betting the defense has the evidence to back up their assertion and if this proves to be true, the prosecution has their hands full. The girl has holes in her story.

Okay for what it is worth here is the timeline:

11pm something or other Kobe encounter
Midnight she tells the bellhop, counts her money and goes home.
Around noon tells her parents or before and police is called.
About 2+pm etc. Cops are at her house and then drive her to the hospital.
Late afternoon she is taking care of at the hospital.

In other words it took around 12 hours from the time that she left the hotel up to the time the police got to her house. This is what I have gathered so far out of all of this media nonsense... Your Milage may vary...

I agree completely. It's beyond me how an obviously self-serving statement (for the defense) all of a sudden becomes fact.

Now, my theory is the jaw bruise was from her head/face being held down on the chair. But that is just a theory going with believing her chair story and guessing the police found evidence on the chair showing that's where it happened.

I'm confused about when she went to the hospital. Was it one day after or two?

The alleged assault happened about 11pm and she went to the hospital about noon the next day, going by my memory of the timeline.

The police arrived at his hotel room to talk to him about 11:00pm that next night, or approx 24 hours after the event. He was then escorted for DNA tests about 2am so you know they had evidence from her by then. (And notice how long they're with him before taking him to get his samples.)

Yes, he was, and his brother became a very famous special effects man in the movies (he won an academy award), and my Dad came up with the idea of putting photographs etc on record ablums, became sort of the diplomat for a world wide record company (he could relate/ingratiate himself to just about anyone around the globe with his sensitivity, intelligence, great sense of humor, and sort of classless ambidextuosness (if that isn't a word, it should be)) and some other stuff, and spoiled his three sons rotten, all of whom still miss him a lot even 13 years after his death.

Kobe's best defense at this point is to throw himself on the mercy of the court. Admit that he is a lousy lover. Claim that he couldn't satisfy her and that is why she got upset. Offer to watch some instructional videos.

The victim was bragging at a party several days after the alleged rape about Bryant's anatomy. Three different men in three days could also account for physical damage to her.
