"Speculation is the race may be called within a few hours of the polls closing."
".. Except that the first dozen court filings to enjoin the announcement will be filed about 20 deconds after the polls close. "
The number of disputed votes must exceed the margin of victory. So a really large margin will avoid a credible vote contest.

MSNBC Exit Polls: 73% Dissapprove of Davis.
Fox Exit Polls: Woman split on Postive/Negs 47/47% But worst for Cruz.

The election is but a sideshow, the real show is going to be seeing what the Rats are going to do to try to nullify the results.

The Democrats are obsessed with power. They can't convince the people to vote for them so they'll try to get a judge to decide the people are too stupid to get it right on Election Day.

Speculation is the race may be called within a few hours of the polls closing. Forget the speculation. Orange county (1.3 million voters) will not be reporting results until 10:00a.m. tomorrow morning.

Just to let all of you know.
You can get the OFFICIAL results by going here:
http://vote2003.ss.ca.gov/ You can click an issue, or they have a Java Applet that will scroll results. Keep in mind that we are on the west coast so our polls close at 8pm which is 11 est.
I voted in Temecula, Riverside County, Touch screen voting went very easy. About 30 seconds.
ABout 10 ppl in line before me. Also saw 4 people who weren't on the rolls vote provisional. Predominant Republican Area.
I moved here in June from Illinois, and was worried, but They found me right away.
ANother thing I hate. They never bother to ask anyone for any Identification whatsoever. I gave my name, signed the sheet, listed my address, and that was it. They gave me my card and I went to Vote.
Most I talked to were voting for Arnold, and yes on the recall.
Regards,
Joe

I think they'll call it early. If the turnout in San Francisco, is light, we don't need to wait for Orange County. The Democrats next pit stop is the courts.

Question: Does CA have an early voting procedure statewide where you can vote at predetermined locations using the same equipment/ballots as if on election day? If so, why do so many opt to vote absentee?
Santa Cruz County had voting over the weekend at the county office's.
To: goldstategop
Fox News just reported that exit polls indicate that Davis is going to be replaced by Arnold.

Greetings from a former Simi Valley resident! And what an inspiring place to cast your vote, overlooking the beautiful Tierra Rijada! Is the cross still on Mt. McCoy??
To: Tahoe4x4
Thanks... I had read somewhere that in the LA area there was early voting at twelve locations. I wasn't sure if it was statewide or just a local option thing. It seems an early voting process with tighter restrictions on the use of absentee voting would make for a smoother after election process, jmo.
