I was thinking "Grow up!" would be the more appropriate response at this point. According to the protocol handout, that's more appropriate for use after "Your mama wears combat boots!"

As a side note, anyone else notice the placement for the recall yes/no? It is situated on the page such that it might be easy for some to bypass it entirely, going right to the candidate choices. It doesn't have a page or a large section of the page, just a small area above where the list of candidates starts. I wonder if a lot of voters might bypass that, thus lowering the "yes" total. Any thoughts? Agreed...you have to really look.
Didn't it feel great punching that thing?! :o)

; ) (Oh, and regarding your subsequent remarks - I would strongly recommend not taking your pants off in front of a crowd. You might want to run for office someday - and then of course, there's the issue of Mrs. Fairbanks...)

Money Quote:
Tribes have poured nearly $12 million into the election, according to Common Cause. Of that, $8.2 million has been spent in support of Bustamante. Nearly $3 million went for state Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks.
It's not just a little Indian money Tom took, it's more money than anyone's ever given him.
Pollywog, your man belongs to the gambling tribes.
Staying in for his Principles? No for his Price. I guess it's better than 30 pieces of silver, but.....
You oppose Arnold because he's not pure enough on social issues (not that much within a governor's purview anyway) and ignore McClintock's getting in bed with the casino tribes! Sorry, it just doesn't wash.

What county did you vote in?
After I voted and dropped in the ballot I had the sickening feeling that I may have done what you described. Then I decided "nah" I musted have voteed Yes.
Beware San Bernadino County's ballot could lead you to easily bypass the first question.

I voted this morning in the Orange/Villa Park area of Orange County. The ballot is a single sheet, blacken the box affair, pretty straight forward. I had no problem remembering to vote yes on the recall but did almost forget to vote on the 2 propositions.
The line was out the door at 7:50 am when I arrived, and was still out the door at 8:30 when I left. The system they used was very time consuming, first waiting on a line to sign in, then waiting on another line to get a ballot, then going to the booth, and I did see a few folks leave out of frustration but, geez, a half hour is nothing compared to the prospect of 3 more years of Gov. Clousseau.
Final note to the LA Times - For the first time in my life, I contributed $$ to a particular candidate - Tom McClintock, early in the campaign. However, I am so determined to counter the LA Times hit pieces in this election, that I voted for Arnold. We need a mandate to repudiate this dirty tricks crowd.

If Californians manage to not elect a Republican, then the last laugh we have is: Davis realizing his Lt. Gov. stabbed him in the back. Davis is still out and the liberals get Bustamonte...by the time the next election comes around, more Dems will vote for Republicans.</p?
