Its like those Time/Life CD collections. You buy one, and then another is sent automatically each month and you are auto-billed on your credit card. Supposedly, its damn near impossible to get them to cancel it.

I completely agree with you. In fact, I hate seeing those commercials, too.

Yes, by all means, we must see the evidence lest the public adjudge us boobs....

With all due respect to the excellent work Project 21 has done in many areas, I have some pretty big disagreements with this commentary.
It pretty much is the same principle as I outlined earlier on the thread about the FCC fining Infinity Broadcasting: If you don't like the Girls Gone Wild DVDs/videos, DON'T BUY THEM. NOBODY is FORCED to buy the things. I don't own any of these videos.
Yeah, I listen to Howard Stern, and that is probably my limit - and even then, about half the time, I prefer to pop in a CD. I do not want to see the Prude Police out there any more than I want to see the PC Police out there.
Now, if Mr. Francis has KNOWINGLY filmed underage girls flashing as alleged, if he has plied them with drugs, then he needs to be tried, convicted, and sent to an 8'x10' cell, and be greeted by a 300-pound guy saying, "My name is Spike, honey."
But at some point, parents ought to take responsibility for their kids (one way to do this is to be online WITH their kids when they use the gift card), and people ought to use some common sense. If people would use common sense and embrace the concept of personal responsibility this sort of thing would NOT be a problem.

My problem is that vulgarities should not be openly visible in the public community. Public standards of decency is something I support. Whether you watch Howard Stern or listen to rap music is of no concern to me.
I want to watch a program, for example "7 Days," and not have GGW commercials in my face. I do not want to drive down the street and have (c)rap music bombarding my ears because it is cranked up so loud.
Everyone now adays want their "freedom of speech" protected. I prefer the adage I was taught in elementary school: your freedom ends where my nose begins.

Have you ever been to Mardi Gras? Women are pulling their tops up all over town. Right. What I meant to say was, I've been meaning to get to Mardi Gras sometime...
