I have a very good Catholic bishop now; I'm sure we'll get another.
BTW, Keyes IS morally superior to the surrender monkeys.
He'll damn sure let you know it at every opportunity.
The grief process is already underway.
shhhh ...

You think THAT makes a good case for who'd make the best governor? You HAVE no case.
BTW, I don't think that someone telling a woman they have a "nice ass" 30 years ago automatically disqualifies one from being governor. (In fact, I'd bet that all of us who were of age 30 years ago did SOMETHING at that time we'd rather would not be national news now.)
Perhaps that is why all those liberals voted for him. Grab an increment when you can.
The result was in many estimates much more than a modicum of capitulation as that administration advocated both the largest budget deficit ($150 billion in '84 and '85) and the largest tax increase ($227 billion over 5 years in '82) in our country's history to date.
Such a political dogma seems to be detrimental to America even given the good intentions of some.
If you say not to vote for Arnold because of "public benefits for sexual partners outside of marriage," how do you justify voting for McClintock who ALREADY HAS voted for it???????
Yeah, who becomes the governor of California is an important issue for those of you over in England, isn't it?
Much easier to deflect by bringing up something totally irrelevant, you know.
I think I remember something about him being accused of rape. I guess that wasn't important a few years ago. Oh well......times change, huh? < /sarcasm >
When this kind of rhetoric is offensive to more pragmatic conservatives, how in the world does he expect this to appeal to the broad swath of rest of the electorate?
He'll damn sure let you know it at every opportunity.
The thing is, Keyes has finally gotten released from his MSNBC contract, so now he can start writing for World Net Daily again, and start commenting on current issues, and more importantly, help his non-profits start pulling in the dough again....
Of course he has to comment on the California recall, since it's the biggest thing going politically right now. Backing McClintock is of course what he'd do.
McClintock isn't going to win, but Keyes can claim the Moral High Ground, which is much more important to him than actually implementing an agenda, because it impresses the gullible souls whose contributions The Great Man lives off, and without which he might actually have to WORK for a living.
Well this Brit happens to live in Redondo Beach so spare me the snide remarks. Are you saying that unless you live in California you're not allowed to have an opinion on FR about the recall?
From post #557 (you): "Here is how I responded: I hate to break it to you, but Arnold isn't my friend. I think it is laughingly funny that you automatically judge me because you think I'm pro-choice (even though you did give me the benefit of the doubt)... and if I'm pro-choice, I can't possibly be for McClintock."
It wasn't more easily resolved because I was bored and wanted to play...
Best to you.
As long as you keep believing that only your brand of conservatism is what makes a republican a republican, you will continue to be defeated at the polls."
It's comments like this that make me long for the day when every single member of the GOP - including office holders - who is a moral conservitive first and fiscal conservitive second leaves the GOP and switchs to the Constitution Party (or start a completely new one) and let the remainder see how many members they have left.
Does the word "Whig" mean anything to you?
