Indeed. And using words like "scum" and "bigot" are not only accurate but effective.
Do what works.

Sounds like he gets it. This is really a good article. I would like to see more journalistic retaliation, if that's the right word for telling it like it is or giving it back in kind. I used to have a theory which I have for the most part abandoned, but I think it would work well here.....if you're gonna be accused of something, you might as well do it. We are always being accused of being nasty and vicious and racist and all that stuff, so why not take the gloves off and give them a taste of their own medicine?

On the CBS "NFL Sunday" show this morning I just caught a tiny bit of their conversation about Rush. One of them, maybe Jim Nantz, was wondering why it took people 48 hours to become outraged over Rush.

The sheeple had to be told to be outraged! LOL

I still want to hear Rush AND his defenders (on the presumption that the facts are accurate) call for either an END to the assault on the Constitution (AKA the WOsD) OR Rush's IMMEDIATE guilty plea and request for the mandatory minimum sentence for being in possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, which (given the alleged quantities) would be a VERY reasonable charge, even if they were for his own personal consumption... I do NOT mind that he used such drugs, as that is HIS affair as it surely had no effect on me, whether for good or ill. What I object to is the blatant hypocrisy of the Dittoheads who would give him a pass, yet still advocate stiff jail terms for anyone ELSE in his position.

This article is a perfect example of how it should be done.
Another one is the story about Arnold gropping women .. according to the Liberals, it's ok to rape a women, just so long as you don't touch her breast
Bottom line .. Dems and the Liberal Press are nothing by HYPOCITES!!!
And Everyone is noticing it

I've never advocated stiff jail terms for non-violent drug offenses. I think it is one of the most overblown issues of the past 2 or 3 decades.

Defending Rush Limbaugh. Did anyone else hear the FOX sports announcer of the Eagles game a few moments after the game ended? He said, "Donovan McNabb deserved to win! After the past week he deserved to win." ... "We've come a long way and I can't see why 'anybody' would take us back." The stupid announcer just made Rush Limbaugh's case when he said, "Donovan McNabb deserved to win!" Why did HE deserve to win and not the team as a whole? Later I looked at the FOX sports writeup of the Eagles game which further made Rush's case when FOX prefaced their report of the Eagles win with the remark, "Take that Rush Limbaugh!" The leftist news media and sports media would love to trash Rush's career and this is only further proof. FOXsports network should rename itself "Faux sports network."

This assault on Rush proves that hardcore Dems have neither compassion nor even a sense of common decency. I think Rush's attorneys have done a fine job putting out this fire. Lately, we've seen a lot of media backtracking on this story as they find out that use of the wiretap is illegal in Florida, the maid's husband had a criminal background, etc.
It seems likely to me that Rush's hearing loss may have been caused by his drug habit. It's just too coincidental, and unlikely that a 50-year old would suddenly lose his hearing without some external stimulus. If so, he has already paid a very heavy price. I doubt he bought pills in the quantities they claim. More likely, they were covering their tracks, attributing inventory that went to others to the Limbaugh account.
Drug dealers deal with violent characters. No sense giving out their names even if you have already made a deal with the cops. In fact, going public this way ensures that those customers who might have been worried can rest easier.
In the end, I think it's important that Rush come clean with his audience. Understanding the possible legal ramifications, I can see he may need some time before he can really spill his guts about it. Nonetheless, having listened to him from the first day he came on the air in Sacramento, I WOULD continue to trust him with my daughter, my mother, etc. And I certainly would not hold this weakness against him.
Certainly, he can continue to teach us all a big lesson in conservatism by laying claim to it, and then summoning his belief in personal responsibility to triumph over it.

"We don't need to get in the gutter like the Dems .." I didn't mean it like that. I meant it more in terms of how they would interpret it. They are forever accusing us falsely and yet we continue to walk on eggshells so as not to validate their accusations, but it doesn't matter. Their perception nor their lies will be changed one bit if we tell it like it is, which will doubltless give them the vapors as they say "I TOLD you they were evil and nasty! See; this just proves it." Of course, it would prove nothing except to expose them more completely for the vicious and vile creatures that they are. Well that, and it would at least open up honest debate again, which political correctness has virtually silenced.
