This doesn't sound at all like the Dennis Miller that was doing tv shows three or four years ago. Possible explanantions:

1) He's been mugged.

2) He's channeling Rush Limbaugh.

3) He finally found out how much he is paying in taxes and where a lot of that money is going.

4) He was kidnapped by evil Bushbots and the guy you see now is an imposter.

5) He figures that if Bill O'Reilly can be an overnight sensation, heck, anybody could do this.

6) He's never forgiven ABC for replacing him with a guy whose most eloquent lines are "BOOM" and "WHAP".

I'm just trying to figure out if Dennis is a future David Horowitz or a future Bob Dylan.

A reference to an old movie-"Gaslight"-in which (I don't remember all the details) in which a man uses tricks to make a woman believe she's going insane. That's the jist of it. You can Google search for the movie.

One of the most memorable "tricks" ( for the which the movie is named ) is when Boyer keeps dimming the gaslights.
When the wife asks if he thinks it's getting darker he always says "no...it must be you".
The term now applies to any situation in which you can
-obviously- see what's happening yet people around you still blithely (and bizarrely) deny it.

If one is going to listen to Miller, they need to keep current on obscure vernaculars. He has always made me laugh. Now he is just better at it.

Dennis Miller is a registered Republican in Santa Barbara, CA and is great for the GOP.

For too many years, the left-wing media has portrayed Republicans as old no-fun, racist, ultra-wealthy, out-of-touch and closed-minded.

The birth of new media (internet, talk radio, cable television) has taken power away from the three networks run by Socialst program directors and allows the - God forbid- TRUTH to be known.

Guys like Dennis Miller command an enormous following, oftentimes from guys who have the same political leanings as Miller used to have.

(Dennis even said that Arnold's past discretions were done by a guy in his twenties and to forget about it. Further he said "hell, in my twenties I may have even done something as stupid as voing for Gray Davis")

Miller is an excellent communicator and carries much influence.

If only people knew who is really on Republican team, this old image of the fuddy-duddy Republican would be laid to rest once and for all.

Left-wingers have a vested interest in promoting this image and I am sure it kills them that:

Dennis will bring great "brand awareness" to the party and I am very thankful is on board.

He has a bright political future if he so chooses, he is very intelligent, able to communicate truths through common sense and humor, and may be just what the Republicans need to finish off the Socialist Democratic Party.

I think for the most part, if you're that big a moron, you tend to stay home on election day and TiVo the "Quick Draw McGraw" marathon on the Cartoon Channel because Baba Looie sounds just like the voice in your head.

Baba Looie was long the voice of reason, and the acknowledged mastermind behind Quick Draw McGraw's successful law enforcement career. Anyone who can operate TiVo and has Baba Looie as Inner Voice will obviously function well in a voting booth, providing that vital limbs are kept well clear of the chadal backspray.

Is Mr. Miller claiming that Baba Looie was overrated as a sidekick, because Cartoon Network executives don't want to offend Hispanics? Not only am I shocked and appalled, but I am outta here.
