"I do not believe I have heard a single Republican supporter of Mr. Scharzenegger declare that he is the best qualified candidate or the preferred choice; only that he is the most electable." I am voting for Ahrnold because I believe he is the best qualified candidate, my perferred choice and is the most electable.

If the California Republican leadership had come out early on for Tom McClintock, I believe theres a good chance, he'd be well ahead in all the polls right now.BINGO!

It's sad watching Tom make excuses for why he is not able to catch Arnold. Basically, his opinion is that it is the voter's fault. I don't buy that. It's Tom's fault. And that's with the LAT providing Tom favorable coverage on the front page, and a last minute smear campaign on Arnold!

McClintock is a proven leader. Leader of what? Show me when he was an actual leader, as opposed to being just a lip mover.

Even Schwarznkennedy's most fierce GOP supporters have to admit that McClintock is more qualified to be governor. Go figure. They've sold us all down the river (not to mention their own souls).

Schwarznkennedy is more qualified than Tom McClintock? You are the first person in California to say that - and probably the last.

Even Schwarznkennedy's most fierce GOP supporters have to admit that McClintock is more qualified to be governor. You're wrong. I've made a point of asking several of them who they agree with more on the issues. Sadly, there is a sizable portion of FReepers who prefer Arnold on the issues. :-(

Saundra and ALL supporting Tom McClintock,.....you will have my prayers tommorrow as you walk. My hubby will hopefully be helping here in Los Angeles. I am leaving shortly for a long time planned Women's retreat with my daughter. I will be encouraging Tom McClintock votes while there.
I did bring my daughter and husband over to the " McClintock" side this week along with my brother in law who is very Conservative but had bought into the Arnold lie! GO TOM GO !!!!!!!! www.helptom.com

I'd rather have Bustamante as gov than Arnold ANY DAY. Bustamante would UNITE Republicans. Schwarznkennedy would DESTROY the CA Republican Party, just like Pete Wilson did.

Interesting that he spends much time playing with numbers which most likely won't change that much during the next four days.... Here's the latest four polls...... and probably closer to reality than some what if wishing.

Basically, his opinion is that it is the voter's fault. Uh... no. I think he's been pretty clear in laying this at the feet of the party leadership. Check out the "other" thread that was pinged in post #21.

Even Schwarznkennedy's most fierce GOP supporters have to admit that McClintock is more qualified to be governor. I favor Tom's ideology but I'm gonna vote for Arnold 'cause he can win. That said, you've asserted that Tom is "more qualified".
In most areas, indeed Tom is the best candidate. However, in the leadership and judgment area, Tom is seriously deficient.
