The problem is there are only two parties in America. There is the Republican Party that believes in America's greatness and there is the Democratic Party that doesn't

Ideally, we shouldn’t be having a debate about whether America should be great or not. We should be debating how America should maintain its greatness and how to make it greater.

Ideally, Schwarzenegger and McClintock should be the leaders of two opposing parties with Bustamante and Davis considered fringe nutcases, laughable for how they want to tear down America. (Or perhaps career politicians saying and doing whatever they have to to get elected -- but at least not tearing down America in the process.)

That isn't the case. Social Libertarians like me and conservatives like Baldwin share the GOP because it is the only major party that believes in the greatness of America. I pray for the day that FReepers will split into two different parties, because that is the day America's greatness will be ensured -- and the maintenance of it will be the debate.

Until then, all of us people who love America are stuck in the same GOP boat, fighting the Democratic Party and other assorted leftists that no longer believes in the greatness of America.

Baldwin is a member of the Constitution Party.

What really cracks me up is that we have CP'ers on this forum who throw "RINO" around as an insult...

Maybe we just want a candidate who appears to not go to the edge of insanity under the pressure. Tom McClintock, 10/1/03:

"We've gotten a few ... but most of it's been conveyed through threats and suggestions through the media, and my position is I don't negotiate with terrorists"

(Talking about a pro-Tom ad)...including Ahrnold's supposed support for late-term abortions

Arnold is against partial-birth abortions, and is for parental notification. Not perfect, but a far better stance than the guys running things now.

I am a conservative first. Party label means nothing to me.

Political parties are the method by which things get done. If you abandon the party (or renegade against it, ala McClintock), you might as well be shouting on a soapbox on your local streetcorner.

I'm not saying parties should be loved. But your stance is similar to insisting on sausage in the morning, then railing against what takes place in the local sausage factory....

This dude wrote: "Furthermore, Schwarzenegger's immoral escapades make even Bill Clinton look unsoiled"

Oh, so it really was all about sex as the liberals say??

I thought Clinton's offense was suborning perjury and lying under oath.

alan keyes. constitution party. tom mcclintock. judge roy moore. jan and paul crouch. benny hinn...

all TRUE conservatives.
all HATE rinos.
all want a "REAL conservative" for president, instead of the the one they call RINO, either in public or private memos to staffers...

I smell soros, hillary, carville and bugalla in todays' news stories.

I'm in the computer industry. We have to spur equipment sales somehow.

Would you mind snorting Mountain Dew all over some server motherboards? We'd appreciate that here in the Silicon Valley!

(Thanks for the compliment.)

Oh brother...as if Republicans themselves hold themselves dearly to the conservative planks of their own party platform.

The GOP of today ain't the same GOP that held Conservatives yesterday...

It's not the social views that have the CA people energized! It's the relentless taxing that hits the RATs and GOP alike! Enough is enough, whoever you happen to support. We are 50% on the way to a tax revolt! Like there was 20 years ago! Please, think deeper! Think a second time! Put yourself here and imagine the circumstances!

Fair enough, and thanks for the reply.

For what it is worth, if the recall had a primary or run-off component to it, I would have supported McClintock early on. Not any longer, but I would have early on.

Hey, Yossarian,

I read the book and your latest pic is nice! You are an artist in realms to yet evolve! Stun me more at your leisure. Just don't float around off the coast of Spain when you're bored!

The anti-Arnold crowd has, or has been for the most part, anti-Bush all along.

What was your former handle?

They must, at some point, be willing to abandon the Republican Party and unite around a party and a candidate that will courageously and consistently promote their principles. Can I get a second for Judge Roy Moore and the Constitution Party?

Yep ol' chuckie and the Constitution Party may be able to break 100,000 votes this coming Presidential election if'n he can get just a few more believers......

You don't have him helping you predict election outcomes, do you?
