"And these clowns in the article would never, ever do something like that, it's just a few bad apples dontchaknow. Feel pity for bicyclists? Yeah, right..."
It's a shame that 99.9% of bicyclists give the other .1% a bad name.

Leg hair must be shaved everyday, because those tiny little hairs actually grab the wind and slow you downMost cyclists shave their legs so that the hair doesn't get matted in with the scabs after road rash, FYI.

Let's keep it civil, people. We already kissed and made up.
Let the record show that I was the first with the Olive Branch.
That makes me cool.

"Red Meat" has some really odd humor, which I usually like.
This one was a little too offbeat.

That's because they can't afford motorcycles and look faggy doing what they do, in their little skintight homo-clown outfits.
Homo Clown would be a great name for a band!

Do some more home work. There are some excellent areas in NC for riding.

They are steep - but I think it is worth it everytime I see someone changing a flat.

I understand that the Raliegh area has made some new trails in recent years and greensboro has some as well. Do you have a sense for the best location in the Peidmont? I am thinking somewhere between Greensborough and Charlotte maybe around Salisbury or Cornelius in Mecklenburg County. Is there good biking around Lake Norman?

"Leg hair must be shaved everyday, because those tiny little hairs actually grab the wind and slow you down."Racers shave their legs for two main reasons; 1 - if you crash and get roadrash the wound is cleaner and easier to deal with, and 2 - during stage races and other periods of doing long hard miles deep leg muscle massage helps get out lactic acid, and heavy leg hair hurts to be pulled that hard.
I shaved my legs when I raced, I don't race, so I don't now.

I do shave my legs and I'm not embarrassed to admit that. Much better for massage. At the level I'm competing at and pushing myself, massage is most helpful for recovery. Also easier to clean the road rash when accidents do happen. Just so you know I'm a 5 time finisher of the Hawaii Ironman and 5 time finisher of the Boston Marathon.

I've had people trying to teach me for years, but since I am utterly ethnic majority, I had an undue amount of trouble.

Most cyclists shave their legs so that the hair doesn't get matted in with the scabs after road rash, FYI.Well, most serious bikers put on tourniquets on their legs and arms, and neck too if you going to be zooming fast. And the pros will shave their eyebrows too so when face hits street their eyebrow hair doesn't get matted in with the scabs.

Well, I've got a good appetite worked up for lunch and I'm about to go... but... tell me anyways. OK. It's commonly referred to in certain circles as "golden nectar." That's all I am going to say.

I'm pretty up of bike technology stuff and I'm not aware of any decent solid tires. If people would keep their tires pumped and don't ride them until the treads are showing not many flats will happen. I average maybe one flat a season and I ride 5,000+ miles. Usually it's a piece of glass.
