You need to take a civics lesson.I did, back in the early and mid sixties. Also ran for assembly in this state, just to put my money where my mouth was,to gather the experience, to be able to opine more succinctly and accurately.
Tom has been an Assemblyman and a Senator. Neither has the authority to veto anything.
Which was my point re his endorsement by the GOA.The endorsement was forhis voting record, notforany positive legislative outcome because of his vote. The bad laws were still passed.
As I asked Roscoe, how do you effect legislation outside of the governor's office? It was rhetorical. The point being, Tom must first get a plurality in order to become the governor. In this particular race, that calls for the front runner (due to support from voters, albeit not those who support Tom) to simply bow out, and then have all of his supporters switch to Tom. Do you think this will happen in 7 days? If it does not, Tom can certainly go back to continuing his excellent voting record, but I submit, will have zip impact on the passage or not of antigun legislation at this time.

McClintock's rating is %100, so he's voted against every piece of gun legislation!

A known political enemy in office is better than a stealth enemy masquerading as a friend.Well said, however Arnold isn't even masquerading. He is very up front about his liberal positions.
I have decided this isn't about confusion. The GOP has been outright hijacked by liberals. It is not the party for conservatives anymore. They are not welcome in it.
Read the hatred and anger toward conservatives from the keyboards of posters on this website who are Arnold's movie star groupies. It's unbelievable.
They want us out of the GOP. Fine with me.

Arnold's anti-gun agenda is clear. He's anti 2nd Amendment while McClintock stands solidly with us for our gun rights. I can't believe the FReepers who are willing to give up their gun rights! Amazing!
Tom McClintock is the only pro life candidate in the running.
McClintock is the only one of the top contenders who has signed the Marriage Protection Pledge (marriage is between a man and a woman). Arnold refused to sign it.
Tom McClintock is supporting the CRA (California Republican Assembly) effort for a state ballot initiative to overturn drivers licenses for illegals.
I could go on and on. But you get the picture. No conservative in his/her right mind would even consider voting for Arnold Schwarznkennedy when we have a great conservative on the ticket - TOM McCLINTOCK! www.helptom.com

I consider myself a single issue voter. I vote for the pro RKBA candidate over the non RKBA candidate.
I would love to vote for Tom, but I don't feel he has the votes to win.
I'm voting Ah-nold, hoping that he can be educated. Cruz and Davis can't be educated.
