I have to laugh, all the postoffice has to do is get it to the either the west or east coasts, once there the military mail system kicks in. Your then at the mercy of Uncle Sam, they really do an excellant job this time of year considering the tons of mail being shipped to the troops. I've only had 1 package lost going to Iraq, just hope who ever did end up with it enjoyed the contents.

I found info on the Dept of Defense site that said the deadline for PAL (parcel air lift, I think) was today. Priority is still listed as the 11th, which is good for me!

Keep up the noble work!!! My sons' Boy Scout Troop recently sent over 200 Christmas cards to Afghanistan. Our Committee Chairman is with the 174th AVN Army National Guard) out of Ft. Indiantown Gap in PA. He handed them out to his fellow soldiers.

Thanks for the tip...I've got a couple more packages to go, but had resigned myself to
the idea that they'd end up being "New Years Munchies" packages.
I'd still guess that some places have been pushing that Dec. 4th deadline in
hopes of "evening the flow" in that package pipeline. And that given Dubya even "air-mailing"
himself to Baghdad, he and his administration will pull out the stops to get the
highest percentage of packages delivered by Dec. 24th humanly possible.
