It's that simple. And it is the thought that counts.Thoughts are nice, but it takes action,do what you can.
Never does that old adage hold more power than when you find yourself alone on foreign soil, fighting for your life and hearing rumors that your country no longer supports you.

Great post. Thank you, mdittmar. Thanks for the ping, Tonkin.
Carolyn Blashek, ex-lawyer/teacher and proud mother, has personally sent almost 600 care packages to soldiers in the Middle East...
"All the soldiers here are very happy to receive letters and anything that is a sign of support for our effort," writes the thankful SPC..."We are determined to accomplish our mission here even more, because we know America cares about us. God bless America."
Local reporters may print this story. Good cut and paste list here.
Our awesome troops, saving the free world and needing our support.
If you want on or off my Pro-Coalition ping list, please Freepmail me. Warning: it is a high volume ping list on good days. (Most days are good days).

great site you posted. Check for $50 is in the mail in the morning. I'm sick of the anti war pukes, liberal biased media and liberals in general. Our troop need our support as they fight the terrorist scum where they breed and not on our soil. Seem liberals americans have forgotten freedom and 9/11/01. I won't foget.

A couple of weeks ago we attended a welcome party for 500 who had fought their way across Iraq and their families. The Colonel described the actions of his men throughout a slide show. Villages were won through their judgment, bravery and care of the ordinary citizens..."where do we get them" scenes from TV became real.
Boxerblues and others at F R send their sons, husbands and fathers. We send boxes.
A humbling perspective.
I spoke with some who admitted wondering was their country behind them? Would they face a hostile environment at home?
Please consider sending support to our deployed troops.

Failure to mention our women in uniform, I apologize. Our experience has been with forward deployed Marines.
Like it our not, wives and daughters are at risk in many areas and deserve our support. Of the three Texas soldiers recommended for the Bronze Star one is female, they are Spc. Jacqueline Hunt, Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Kelly and Spc. Omar Zayas. (

As we speak, I wrapped my package this morning and am taking it to the post office today at lunchtime. I adopted my soldier from Operation Air Conditioner. I put in mostly food and personal items (shaving gel, razor blades, deodorant, Baby wipes, as well as dry foodstuffs). My daughter loved it and already came up with ideas for the special "Christmas" package.

This is great and absolutely needed. We need to let the servicemen and women know that the vast majority of Americans strongly support them and their families.
We need to do more to show them our support and help their families back home without them.
What organizations are helping their families back home, and what more can we do?
We need to show them our support and not let the whinny liberal demoralize them. REAL Americans care about them. Maybe the juvenile liberals will grow up some day and learn that life is not all about them only, but I'm not holding my breath.
The liberals caused the VietNam war to micromanaged on a tight budget for too long without a victory and at far too high a price in the precious lives of many individuals. Don't even begin to let the thought enter anyone's mind about the cause and sacrifice for this war.
God Bless America, President Bush and OUR service men and women!!!!!!!
