Your analogy would only be correct if the officer saw the driver using said drugs prior to pulling over the suspect.

If I were a cop and some jerk pointed his finger in his coat pocket at me, I wouldn't be waiting around to see if he's bluffing. Not the proper analogy. What if you were a cop and wanted to search someone's car for drugs. That person then told you that you had no right to search his car for drugs. Would you then arrest the person, take his car and forcibly conduct a search? What would your reaction be after no drugs were found?
Here's another analogy. You're on probation (UN sanctions) for a prior felony. One of the conditions of probation is you consent to a search of person, car, household. You refuse. What do you expect to happen next?

What do you expect to happen next? I agree with your update of my analogy. But he fact is that it looks like we probably won't find any weapons any Iraq.

Let me hide a quarter in any 2 square miles of your choice and see how long it takes the MENSA graduate to find it... See post 24.

This thus far fruitless search for WMD (as far as we or the press know) reminds me of the sniper hunt last Fall and the folk story referenced by the sniper via the Moose. "We have caught the sniper Like A Duck In a Noose." I sure hope we find something. And soon.

This reminds me so much of the end of Dr Strangelove..

Who cares?
Who Cares?
I care. I don't want my President or my government intentionally lying to me.
I support GW 99%, and don't for a minute think he lied, misconstrued, led us astray, or any other of the accusations that have been hurled his way.
But, by God, if a President - ANY President - is going to take his country to war, then he better be completely up front and truthful with the citizens of the country about the justification.
I think President Bush did clearly and truthfully justify the reasons for taking this country to war. As a citizen, I'm quite comfortable giving him plenty of time - years, if that's what it takes - to find out everything we need to know.

Thats what HE says. Oh yeah.. I BELIEVE him. It's all over. (Sure it is!!) The liberal media would rather believe this guy than our own intelligence. They are so hungry to believe Saddam or Osama over the USA. You can almost see and feel their pain over this. :o(
I can't imagine the day when we do have proof. The pain and anguish will be palpable.
To: John Jorsett
Even if Iraq did indeed destroy their weapons, then Saddam was monumentally stupid enough to act like he still had them.Yes, and I'm sure that if we find no evidence of WMD's in Iraq we can use that line to win votes in 2004. /sarcasm

Ironically, it was an article in Time back in September 2002 that helped convince me once and for all that we should remove Sadaam while we still had the chance.Even a broken clock . . .

See post 24. That answer is non-responsive.

What part of no intelligence has ever been or will ever be 100% reliable do you find difficult to understand?

Yes, he gave an exact location and the date and time when we'd find them. We "haven't found them" therefore they never exisited, and everyone (except Saddam) is a liar. Saddam lost his country, his sons, and will lose his life over weapons that he admitted he had, but he refused to prove he had dismantled or disposed of.
he's just a goofy kind of guy. That makes sense...

Oh wait, Saddam's a liar too--admitted he had weapons, but then said he didn't!
