You are so right.
London is the only town I've ever lived in where I never truly got my bearings aside from landmarks.
And with the sky commonly so low, the usual sun movement instinctive reckoning I'm fortunate enough to have was limited.
The Thames probably helped more than anything. I rarely have trouble coordinating north, south etc (even on green water) but in London on some dreary afternoons, I can remember being rather lost in that sense...relying strictly on landmarks....the way many scientists think women are wired for direction...scary.

I have heard many reliable folk make reference & I recall some reference in The Rise & Fall by Wm. Shirer-I'll look at the book again tomorrow. I really do think it's correct.

REALLY. No joke. I've looked at them a great deal for genealogy & it's impossible to grasp what's what on a British map.

There is a famous veggies site on the net and I know he is on it but I recall some detractors.
I'm not quarreling, but I might look since I'm bored and everyone in my home is fast asleep and I'm having a late stogie and cruising this site.

The man lived such a pecular existence I can imagine anything was possible. But really, Shirer is THE authority. He had access to every document we possesed on the Nazis.

Well you see, how can a NUT be trusted-would he have cheated on himself or would he have been afraid of ehat he might do if he caught himself cheating??
