I have addressed this already. He made that post before we knew if this was a hoax or not (which it seemed at the time). I believe the tsunami watch has been cancelled. But I would further specify that may be just for the Japanese areas. This would not prohibit something from radiating from the opposite side and travelling on to say, Hawaii.
