But the times for different articles on the same page seem to differ. Does Haaretz normally have such old articles? Most other newspapers seem to archive them after a while.

Futhermore, if you select the little scroll thing on the side to change to a previous edition, the date at the top changes as well. For instance, if you select the September 15, it displays this: Monday, September 15, 2003 Elul 18, 5763
I suspect a computer glitch.
