At a weekend powwow sponsored by the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce...I wonder if there is a Wichita Caucasian Chamber of Commerce? Nah, I guess that would be racist.

Yes, it does refer to the one and only Mickey Mantle. My very first hero (other than Dad). I adopted it for a Yankee forum and just decided to use it here too.
I recently moved to Kansas and took the family to Branson, Missouri. My wife planned our return route through Joplin, Missouri. When I looked at the map on our way back and saw how close we were to Oklahoma, I convinced the family to indulge me and take a side trip to Commerce. I had my picture taken under the Commerce Comet sign on Mickey Mantle Field.
BTW if your screen name is referring to Acts 17:11, I really like yours as well.
