Post not specifically to you, I just have a question. I have been to the site and I couldn't find the answer. Just who in tarnation was sued for malpractice and lost? Didn't she supposedly "fall" in her home?"
To: floriduh voter
Did you hear David Limbaugh has a new book called "Persecution"?I heard a discussion about this the other night while listening to a talk radio show. It was nothing short of chilling to listen to the facts they presented for Christian persecution in this country. Especially so, I thought, because the issues were those you don't see on the front page or even think about all that much. It was like a hidden agenda to hear them put together. It gave me much food for thought and I am considering looking for the book.

Michael Schiavo, 'husband', sued Terri's gynecologist, under whose care she was when she collapsed in her home. The cause of collapse was initially said to be a potassium imbalance that resulted in a heart attack. Actual reason for collapse is still in question, but the doctor settled with Schiavo. IIRC this is a close and brief explanation. Detail can be found at www.terrisfight.org.

The clintoid judge has given no extension of the execution order. It seems to me that if he was inclined to grant guardianship to the Schindlers he would at the least have granted a stay to the execution order. I am betting that this judge stands behind Greer after all. How I wish I was wrong! For this brief is wonderfully written.
To: Theodore R.
If what is in that lengthy brief hods up, there is no way in hell that Greer continues to be the judge on this case and continue to fail in doing his job! It is Greer who is the greater focus in the brief, IMHO, for it is Greer who has done so many illegal things and violated so many of terri's legal rights, exposing her to continuing abuse and neglect and to the thievery of Terri's care funds to pay the sleazy death merchant, Felos.

It has been my understanding that federal courts have stayed out of all, or nearly all, of the euthanasia cases. No matter how compelling the brief is, I am afraid that the judge will turn a deaf ear to the suffering of the Schindlers. I think he will say that he is "sorry" but his court has no "jurisdiction" in the matter. I for the life of me see no way to get Greer off this case. And Governor Bush seems unwilling to take an active role, not that he could do much if he tried.

Thanks for the explanation. As I said, I couldn't find the "detail" at www.terrisfight.org.

In hell, perhaps, he would not qualify, but in FL he has and he will!
To: Theodore R.
Actually, the pleadings are directed at the violations of Terri's Constitutional rights, thus the Federal court does have jurisdiction and can find on behalf of Terri (not the Schindlers) that she deserves a jury trial to address the grievous wrongs done to her because of Greer's inadequacies and error riddled rulings.
If you think Jeb Bush is unable to act on Terri's behalf, to investigate and suspend judge Greer, you are mistaken. The governor could also issue a stay of execution on Terri's behalf, and I suspect he has perhaps slyly set that very scenario up with his request to Greer being ignored! But don't tell anyone that because it might get back to the nefarious Greer that his error-filled rulings are about to bite his own viperous head off.

I just have to say that you are one awesome Freeper to have typed up that 34 page document and subsequent order! I had no problem reading the pdf format, but thanks to your efforts, it will no longer be a problem for others. Well done!
The full order is interesting in that Lazzara is contacting the Atty. Gen. (Crist) about the issues that were brought up in the 2nd Amended Motion regarding constitutionality of the statute(s) in question. I wonder how all that will pan out.
And I can't wait to see what Schiavo, Felos, and Greer bring to the table at the Oct.10th hearing. Sort of feels like the shoe is on the other foot for a change.

Ok, can someone help me? I am trying to read this legal stuff, and I got part way through the new briefing, and my brain started screaming. Can someone either;
A): give me a rundown of the basics of it, or
B): point me to a post where some one has done so?
Hey, and are we using BOTH threads again?
