thanks for the ping. This is more anti-Israel revisionism from the Arabs who are trying to destroy Israel.

What did I miss? How is this anti-Israel revisionism from Arabs? Did you not read the entire article? If you had you certainly would not come away with that information.
God has a covenant with Israel and this article supports that.

I think this means that all that oil really belongs to Israel.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I am talking about this Arab "historian's" comments that are present in the beginning of the article.
Thank you for your support of Israel.

You are correct. There seems to be two definitions of a "nation," as there are different definitions of "liberals" and "conservatives."

Thanks for the clarification...It's hard to listen sometimes on these threads and I may be the guilty one for not paying closer attention.

What kind of an idle mind would even ask?
What difference does it make?
I start getting the odor of sandmaggot propaganda...

"This is more anti-Israel revisionism"...
The Islama Nazis and some very mis-informed Church-i-anity in Name Only "christians" take this way beyond:
"Revisionism" it is REPLACEMENT Theology plain and simple.
It's roots are Not only EVIL, it is satanic.

I'm just scratching my head wondering how the Muslims correlate any of the geographic features mentioned in the Bible with Yemen. Perhaps they would like to show us where the Jordan River really is.

Any one who studies the Bible and is familiar with Jewish history knows the Assyrians destroyed the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Ten Tribes were lost to history as a result of assimilation, having succumbed to paganism, and intermarriage. The Judeans and Levites in the Southern Kingdom of Judah preserved their identity and faith and remained apart from the nations around them. So all that's left of the fabled Twelve Tribes are the sons of Judah and Levi. A small portion of Israel did survive and they can trace their heritage all the way back to our forefather Abraham. No, James makes clear the "lost" tribes are were not destroyed by the Assyrians and had made it to wherever he was teaching (around Greece or Rome probably).
Jam 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
The Assyrians took the "lost" tribes and relocated them East, while bringing in peoples from the East to occupy the land that was once the home of the "lost" tribes. In much the same way the Scots made excellent warriors for the British Empire, the "lost" tribes were excellent warriors for the Assyrians and they used them as a buffer on the border with Media-Persia, thereby gaining their freedom from captivity in a hurry. The Assyrians called the tribes the Bit-Sakae (house of Isaac) and Bit-Kumri (house of Omri, or Homri, with a hard "H"), and once they started moving west they were known as the Scythians and Cimmerians, and later mainly by the name Saxons. Sons of Issac = Bit Sakae = Scythians = Saxons. Genesis confirms that the descendents of Isaac would be called by the name of Isaac:
Gen 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
They then migrated north and then west (being close-by to be taught by James in the first century AD) and then continuing West and North into Northwestern Europe and the UK countries and America. It's no accident that Americans and British have names from the bible (Michael, James, John, Gabriel, Steven, etc., etc., etc.), we are descended from those that had the names in the first place.

There is an ongoing, worldwide search for a qualifying red heifer. There is an ongoing local search for the "treasure of the copper scrolls". I have had the fun of taking part in the search for it. The first scroll has been found, the second scroll is still missing. If the second scroll is found it will have the missing half of the treasure map showing where the first temple treasure was buried. It is suspected that the treasure contains un-defiled supplies of properly stored red-hefier ashes along with temple implements. If found it will be the key to the lock of rebuilding the temple. Gold and silver pale in comparison to that in the hands of the Rabbi's of Israel.
I like treasure hunting, and no, I ain't a saying no more, fuggeda-bout-it...

To the contrary, in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24), Jesus tells us what starts the tribulation period and we find nothing there about the the events of Daniel 9:27. What we do find (Matthew 24:5) is the first event of the tribulation period: The appearance of claiments to be Jesus Christ. End time theology is too personally subjective for me to find a clear opinion. My entire eschatological view is found in Mat.24: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14
That's the singular sign that I'm watching and working for.
