Yeah, we all do. LOL! But, Woodstock, this is serious business to a whole lot of people. We're trying to keep each other updated on what is happening or what we are hearing.

Does the yellow indicate that the worst is still over the ocean? No, in that picture it's a relative wind. The blue and the yellow are areas of the same wind speed, but in the blue area it is blowing towards the radar station and in the yellow away from the radar station.

We're on the west side of it, but the winds are picking up; we're suppose to get tropical strom winds about 3 this afternoon. Deck and yard already covered with leaves and limbs........and it's raining.
I am not complaining though; lots of people do have and will have it worse!
To: hobbes1
i would say for them to go and read the cliffs notes on yesterday's thread : )
To: ironman
Trust us; it'll get there. I just hope it weakens a lot before it gets there.

Not good.
Cantore's getting slammed in Kill Devil Hills (the loss of signal shows he isn't faking much).

That hotel is not far from the Avalon Pier web cam.
To: Howlin
Hey Howlin!
Grey skies and very windy all the way up here in NY already.
Good Luck to all you brave coast dwellers.
To: meyer
Just saw that too. Time for the sillies here to stop cracking jokes and let's see how bad this is going to be.
To: meyer
That's awful.
18,000 people in shelters right now in NC and VA. 160 shelters open in both states. This storm is really bad. Jeff Kornblatt, FOX News.
