Maggs, wasn't I just saying last night that with the search boats back in the bay, news would pick up???
I still think that MG's camp leaks like a sieve.

He met Peterson in November at the east-central Fresno strip club City Lights on Clovis Avenue.

Thanks for the article...the plot thickens. Wondering here if this club is where SP met AF?

Hey, Jack! Glad you heard from your son and thanks for letting us know. No storm damage here where I live. We were lucky! Thanks for asking.

I have a question for all about reported evidence that has been found and what has been reported by news. (1) They have found a root hair from Laci's head in a pair of needle-nosed pliers. (2) The consensus from defense and prosecution seems to be that there was no dismemberment--the sea did it. Question: The root hair in the pliers seems to suggest that Laci's head was lifted with the pliers. Why would SP or anyone try to pick up a 140+lb. whole body with a pair of pliers?

My guess is that he was using the pliers to secure the wrapping (I heard somewhere that chicken wire might have been used). While doing this he caught a hair in the pliers. Contrary to what some say, I think this is a significant piece of evidence. Of course, her hair (without a root) could have gotten in the boat innocently through indirect transfer. It's less likely though that a "pulled out" hair would be there.

"I still think that MG's camp leaks like a sieve."

I agree Jackie-O. I think the gag order is killing him. His inclination is to "razzle dazzle" potential jurors. The gag order really benefits the prosecution, I think, in the long run.

I'm still on the fence about dimemberment as opposed to decompostion..waiting to see if there is any evidence of tool marks.
But I have been thinking lately that this clear plastic that was found was placed under Laci during transportation to the bay to protect either the floor of the boat or the truck to prevent evidence transfer.

Well his razzle-dazzle seems to not have impressed most everyone here. Jurors, in the end are very smart people and it the evidence is there, and I believe it will be, no amount of MG's Hollywood style luster will help Snotty.
Reminds me of a crude saying...
You can't polish a turd.

I would be very suprised if there was dismemberment. He really didn't need to do it given his method of disposal. Also, it would have taken a great deal more time - actually doing it somewhere else, cleaning all the blood off him self, etc.

True, I think we all see through it. But there are plenty of folks out there who are, well, I hate to say it, but they are plain stupid and very impressionistic. I've said all along that jury selection here will be key and the defense will be spending a ton of money on consultants. To us, Geragos looks like a fool, but remember, he is trying to appeal to a different group. He'll be looking real hard for a certain type of person during jury selection.

ThanksI read the article earlier and was struck by the name of the gang, Nazi Lowriders...that sounds like a biker gang to me.

OK we've had questions about whether Scott was involved in some way with meth through his fertilizer sales, bikers run the meth connections usually.

Modesto is meth, biker country. But if Scott was selling the ingredients to the meth cookers he wouldn't need a stranger to hook him up with bad dudes.

Maybe that guy passed a polygrapgh because he does know Scott and the gang, but not the way he told the story about meeting Scott and hooking him up.

Does that make any sense?

Interesting question - however, I think they are very thorough in the polygraph with all aspects of the story. I doubt he would pass it if was being dishonest about something this significant.

waiting to see if there is any evidence of tool marks.

I thought that tool marks had already been denied by both prosecution's experts and defense's experts.

this clear plastic

In addition to the clear plastic that was found more recently, back in Jan., when they first started searching, wasn't there a blue or black pool tarp found? Just wondering, if she was double wrapped.

(I heard somewhere that chicken wire might have been used).

I did, too, dr. Have never heard if any of the bay searches yielded any such wire that could be linked to Scottie.

I have a theory on how and why Peterson may have killed Laci and Connor. It's only a speculative theory, but think about this:

What if Laci and Scott had a horrible argument over his cheating and he hit her, hard, hard enough to cause her to go into labor? She starts yelling at him that she is going call the police and have him charged with assault and he goes nuts and hits her some more.

No I haven't heard anything about finding chicken wire. Was some missing from his warehouse or shop? I can't remember why they thought he might of used it.

Hi Eva - I just don't think this was a crime of passion - there's too much evidence of premediation (the boat, Amber, the purchase/aquisition of materials, etc.). There's likely more evidence, in light of the charges and the fact that the DA is going for the DP. I don't think there was ever any evidence of domestic violence, was there? Usually, with the type of murder you describe, you find a history of domestic abuse. Just my opinion!

I know you're right, I just have trouble imagining anyone planning to murder their pregnant wife. I keep looking for explanations of how it could happen. I guess I am looking for a rational explanation for irrational behavior. But then, pre-meditiation is rational, just anti-social. I guess this guy is just evil.

I agree - it is easier to "wrap our minds around" a crime of passion in this case as opposed to premeditation. My best guess is that, bottom line, this guy wanted to get rid of this wife and soon-to-be-born son. Most people think that this is an unreasonable explanation because he could, obviously, divorce his wife. They aren't looking at it from the perspective of someone without a conscience, however. In his mind, he would not want to do that for two primary reasons: he would not want to "look bad" to others and he would not want the financial and psychological obligations for the rest of his life. I think he had an obsession with Amber. He seems to be an obsessive guy (for example, he went back to the bay instead of playing golf which blew his alibi and, apparently, he kept going back to the bay). I would like to know if his other affairs were obsessive. Oh well, I better get back to work. The above is simply my analysis from afar - I haven't met the guy and I don't want to!

Just thinking, mostly about the connections Scott could have made on his own if he was selling products to meth cookers.

As to the polygraph, I guess we'd have to be privy to all the questions he was asked while hooked up to know all the answers.

More leaks for us to ponder...
