I noticed that Dr. Dobson's site also has a set-up for easily sending emails to legislators concerning other moral issue legislation. I clicked on "legislation" on the menu to the right side of the page and sent emails to my congressman and senators regarding support or opposition to several pieces of pending legislation.

I know an email isn't given the same weight by the legislator as a personal phone call or letter, but it can't hurt either.

It was quite a revelation. The event was a fund-raising event for the Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Roanoke Valley, which provides assistance to young pregnant women in the form of counseling, medical assistance, child care, etc. Basically anything to keep them from having abortions, including adoption assistance. It's a marvelous organization, and they are able to claim 600 babies' lives saved over the last 20 years. Very moving.

Anyway, Ryan gave a very good speech, revealing the fact that he was adopted in showing support for the CPC. If you get a chance to see him, do so.

i do not want gay men oppressed but their lifestyle should not admired. it worries me that there are tv shows with so many gay men doing whatever. that lifesyle should not be made to seem OK. i have nothing against gay men but i have something against how they have sex. it is dangerous. this is not a moral issue, it is a FACTS issue.
