Notice that nobody wants to TOUCH the question of funding every damn initiative petition McClintock would have to start?

Thank you for the enjoyable graphic. I'm really starting to enjoy the whole experience, because I am fairly certain that McClintock is in the race to stay, that the people of California are awakening, and desperation is and will soon be setting in among the Arnold fans. You have a tough road ahead; I'm sure you won't enjoy the Sept. 24 debate.

As for Poohbah, relax my son. Many of these petition drives won't cost millions of dollars. To stop driver licenses for illegal aliens, we need 375,000 signatures. The move has 67% support. It is too bad Arnold the actor is opposing the referendum. We really don't need him

Doesn't matter what the SUPPORT is. You still have to get the signatures by the end of the year, and that costs money. Lots of money.

You mistake "having enough class not to take credit for McClintock's initiative" for "not supporting it." But if he DID support it, you'd bitch and moan about Arnold "stealing McClintock's ideas."

Mr. Wampler, you have done more on this board than anyone else to give the Tombots the reputation for being complete jerks. So I really don't give a hoot what you think. You can go ahead and support McClintock at all costs. I will vote for him if he's leading in RELIABLE (i.e., not from the Los Angeles Times--or, as I call it, "The Aztlan Daily Worker") polls on October 7th. However, I see little chance of that happening, as McClintock has flat-out refused to go anywhere beyond the faithful pure conservatives for votes, and I don't see him stepping into attack on Bustamante. Indeed, he takes money from people who've endorsed Bustamante.

Think those Indian Nations would be willing to fund a few McClintock initiatives as "foreign aide" to Tom's floundering state? McClintock claims, with a straight face, that Indian gaming is NOT a special interest.

If McClintock did undertake an initiative prone administration, the need for outside funds would be ongoing. And rich with opportunities for impropriety.

Go check the Sept. 9, 2003 SF Chronicle article by Paul Feist. Arnold's spokesman says he will not support the referendum. I called Rep. Cox's office and his secretary speculated that Arnold was opposing it because Arnold didn't want to do anything to help Tom. What a sad sack that Arnold is.

You can call the truth a lie a million times, but truth is persistent and we'll see what Arnold does or does not do to help the referendum. So sad.

The momentum is shifting right from under you. People are catching on to Arnold -- and they really don't and won't like him to be their governor. There is no there there.
You all have fought real hard for him. It's too bad you haven't fought as hard for the Republican in the race.

I am sorry if I have been rude to you or others. I have interviewed State Sen. McClintock five times on my radio show. Through those experiences, I have found him to be one of the most gracious, principled and courageous people I have ever seen in politics.

From the moment I came on the website for the recall, I have seen venomous, toxic and poisonous comments about Tom. Has that been the case or not? Now, we'll see if you are an honest person? I will not stand by and let an honorable person be libeled and slandered and insulted.

From the start, it seems to me that Mr. Schwarzenegger has run a campaign designed to drive people out of the race, take as few positions as possible, decline to debate and act like he deserved a coronation rather than a campaign.

With or without your vote, the momentum is shifting...and again for any rudeness, I am sorry. I have seen little in the way of apologies or responsibility for disgusting actions -- like calling a horse's behind for McClintock. But for many Californians, drivers licenses for illegal aliens is a serious issue -- and as more become aware that Arnold will not support the referendum, they can come to their own conclusions. I would have loved to debate you in high school or college. People who mock and play games the way you do usually get their clocks cleaned because neutral observers can see exactly what is going on.

I don't find this to be a coincidence.

And for the record, I have never called anyone a liar. I do however, plead guilty of sarcastic comments regarding the optically traversed Tom McClintock.

BTW, if Arnold has to earn TM voters, then certainly Tom (The Pure) must earn the support of the California Republican Party. Looks like there is going to be a run on Kool-Aid fairly soon.
