So if you're a white kid, or a black kid, or an oriental, or a U.S. citizen of Mexican descent, you're locked out if you can't afford to go and you can't qualify for financial aid...And if you do qualify, there's likely not going to be any room for you anyway...

This may create a lot of "I used to be a Democrat(s)"...

for the immigrant vote
___________

I keep hearing this, yet I have not once heard anyone in the mainstream question what is the "immigrant vote" since after all non-citizen immigrants are not allowed to vote in this country right? Why are we not questioning why Dems in this state are pandering to a group who can not even vote? Or is there something illegal afoot with the votes that got dems in there to begin with?

Best of luck on your move sangoo. Can't say I blame you. We weren't Californias, but Arizona dwellers. We saw the tide moving that same direction there, albeit much slower, and took the oppurunity to get out when we could.

"There's really no upside to electing Schwarzenegger. He will further the Democratic agenda "

===

Arnold voted against Prop. 187, giving social services to illegals and he is also against giving them drivers licences and he said he would recind that. I haven't heard, but I can't imagine that he wouldn't also oppose this bill and I bet he would veto it, if he became governor.

On the other hand, Bustamante will be more than happy to sign it.

GOVERNOR BUSTAMANTE

Thank you, Tom and thanks Freepers, I couldn't do it without you. Thanks for electing me governor and for helping the realization of Aztlan.

Davis' new motto must be: "I going down, so I'm taking the state with me."

Don't forget that the state legislature is writing and sending these bills to him. Its not just davis, its all the democrats.

These folks are out of control, with all the illegal "rights" and the homosexual bills like SB71.
California is going to the toilet.

Everybody involved in that should be arrested. This violates federal law!At the very least this aids and abets criminals for being here illegally and gives incentive for more criminals to come here.

...he is also against giving them drivers licences and he said he would recind that.

Once a bill has been passed and signed, the governor can't just rescind it. The legislature would have to repeal it and then the governor could sign the repeal.

On the other hand, the bill can be overturned by a referendum. This is currently in progress. Arnold has said that he doesn't support the referendum effort.

Summary: He has said he'll do something that he can't do while failing to support a referendum that would accomplish what he says he wants.

They don't call this the land of fruits and nuts for nothing. While the economy sinks lower and lower, the MORONS in Sacramento passes homosexual bill after homosexual bill, illegal bill after illegal bill. The two most powerful lobbies in this state are hispanics and homosexuals. Recalling the governor won't change anything - the entire legislature has to be fired!

But let's be clear - Californians are responsible for this freaking mess! They elected those cretins and are getting EXACTLY WHAT THEY DESERVE!!! I hope all the liberal voters go down with the burning ship!!

It's time to walk away and either let the recall fail or let Large Breasts get elected. The "embarrassment" of losing the election will only last a few days, but the ultra-socialist RATS will then go on a "we have a MANDATE!" rampage that will completely destroy the state of California in less than two years ... after which some serious conservative Republicans can sweep the Governor's Mansion and both houses of the Legislature.

A little extra pain now equals paradise a few years down the line.

It is a moral compromise for a Christian to vote for Ahh-nold. He's for gays, abortions and gun control. He's a liberal. I don't trade my vote for monetary gain or a better economy. Only when moral people UNITE behind the RIGHT candidate (McClintock) will California turn around. Until then, Dems will rule. If McClintock's candidacy results in a Bustamante governor, it will be the fault of Californians who gave him a plurality of the vote, not Tom M. backers who are doing THE RIGHT THING.

RATS buying more votes. We can't win this battle unless we get in control and make it impossible for this kind of thing to happen.

The bill, by Sen. Martha Escutia, D-Norwalk, would direct the board of governors to establish a process so students without legal immigration status can apply to have tuition waived.

Looks free to me, It's probably a combo of both...

Then what do you call voting for Bustamante?
It will be YOUR vote, which will put him over the top. How will you sleep at night then?

Assume that all Californians will vote as they plan to vote. The conservatives have a real choice: help get a Republican governor, or push the CA Republican party into darknes for at least the next decade, and elect a governor, Bustamante, who will surely be worse than Davis.

If conservatives vote for Tom, we will get Bustamante. It will be the direct result of YOUR vote.

"Republican political operative Kevin Spillane warned that if "McClintock doesn't drop out, Republicans won't take the governorship and the Republican party will be in the wilderness for the next decade." "

How can you call an action, which will result in electing Bustamante "the right thing"?

You know where a road with good intentions lead. Only RESULTS count.

This is just a litle payback to the voters of California for daring to recall

This is just a little pay-off to illegal voters for services rendered.
